i remember maybe a year ago there was a “leak” of dream or whatever the fuck, basically it led to all of twitter thinking dream was a fat guy and alllllllll the fucking ppl were like “EW lol these idiots have been liking a Fat Guy this whole time LOL 🤣” and like. i hate dream but wow how shitty it was to be on the internet during that. shit like that never touches the intended celebrity but it does hit literally everyone else :/

Thoughts on dream smp? A lot of my friends support them but I haven’t been able to shake this aweful feeling about it all since the first time dream got backlash.

dream smp is made by ableist, racist, transphobic pieces of shit.

there is no way to ethically consume the media since all views translate directly into revenue for the creators.

while it's true that not all creators involved in it are actively bigoted, their involvement means they are complicit in the furthering of the bigoted ideals and that they are actively supporting the platform of a horrible person.

i do not trust dsmp fans even if they are "critical" of it simply because even watching the videos and streams is enough to support dream and his cohort monetarily.

i'd recommend you inform your friends of this and set a firm boundary.

i enjoy mcyt a normal amount. last life was fun to watch. hermitcraft is a vibe. the fandoms for those on tumblr are respectful and tag properly and stay in their lane.

i don't like dsmp. i don't give a shit about a bunch of annoying english white boys who are consistently infantilised and the ridiculous way they're talked about and treated, and overall the inability of dsmp fans to not treat the entirely of mineblr as a dsmp playground.

there are not many blogs that are solely minecraft based. i'm one of these and i am so, so tired of literally everything being turned into dsmp. "oh my god gogy looked at dweam w such heart eyes" SHUT UP. these are real people and you're a fourteen year old who needs to go outside, touch some grass and realise your sweaty little minecraft boys are not so special and precious that you need to shove them up everyone else's arses.

dsmp drove me off this website because i literally cannot stand the ridiculous way the fandom act and the overall entitlement in their grip on this online space. they're english, not fucking gods.
