"Keep that up and you'll end up hurt, not impressing anyone."
Rowan really hated running. He always felt gangly and awkward, and running just increased the fact. Running was not his favorite choice but he had to travel farther than normal. Looking for a specific plant that only grew miles upon miles away, he tried to not trip over roots or branches but finally one sent him sprawling. "Ow," he mutter brushing himself off. Then he heard rustling in the bushes. "Who's there?" he called out chest still heaving from the running.
Nya had actually kept her distance from the Sky People after the incident of the fog. But, only because those that raised her, did not approve of her actions of trying to help them from being injured. Without a thought, Nya left the village. Completely different looking without the paint across her face, but she did not mind personally rather than those that probably had seen her leave. As she made her way close to the river, she sat at the edge of a rock, before letting her fingertips graze the water. It wasn't long until she heard footsteps seemingly coming her way, her voice cleared before speaking. "You know you're not as quiet as you've come to believe you are, right?"
Andrea was out in the forest because she had to get some supplies for her people. She was getting some berries for her people when suddenly she could hear leaves rustling and some footsteps nearby. "I don't care who you are, but if you came here to fight me." She spoke, a sigh escaping her lips. "I'm not in the mood and I just want to pick these berries."
The sparkling water of the river is cold against the palms of his hands as he washed the dirt from under his nails, scrubbing until his fingertips are red. There was no need for it, but something about the fog had left him with an almost desperate urge to be clean. He was about to stand when he heard the footfalls behind him, soft enough that he only heard them when it was too late to go anywhere. “I’m really not in the mood for a fight,” he said softly, turning slowly on his heels, “so I hope that’s not what you’re expecting. Or - looking for.” He decided to leave out the fact that he probably couldn’t beat anyone in a fight anyways.
Though it had been mere hours since everyone had regrouped back at camp, Murphy was already itching to go back out. He made sure to slip more than a couple knives into his pockets, his boots this time; his run-in with -- the man in the cave had spooked him more than he wanted to let on. That aside, though, he knew he was wandering back toward that cave, though he knew he couldn't stay out there too long with the shadows growing longer every minute.
--------------Alistair had never been fast, and he was more than regretting that now, trying to fight through the burn in his lungs with every step. Of course he’d had to pick now to be outside of the village, and of course the horn would blow when he was still plenty of ways away from any shelter. He knew the woods like the back of his hand, and there was almost nowhere to go. Unless - there were a few caves, clustered towards the edge of a large clearing and not too far from where he was, but he had heard from the scouts that there were others there, the ones his village were calling the Sky People. But there was no other option, and so he set off again, darting through the trees as quickly as he dared, casting anxious glances over his shoulder for any sight of the yellow fog. The moment he reached the first cave, he ducked inside like his life depended on it, not even bothering to check if anybody else was inside.
