Happening now (June 30th), relive a bit of history as filmmaker/activist Spike Lee celebrates with YOU! Talking about the 30th anniversary of his film, “Do The Right Thing”!

Right out my doorstep, it’s hard to believe 30 years ago – still situated in sweet, sweet Trinidad, I watched this music video (below) by one of my all-time favorite groups, Public Enemy. I’m writing this as I’d just returned from walking out to run a small errand, and guess who I ran into? The man himself, Spike Lee –taking photos on a stoop, next door. 

The grills are BBQ’n, DJ Spinna’s already diggin’ in the crates n’ of course the car-horns are blowin’, outfits resemble 30yr-throwback-fresh + I’m hoppin’ off this computer to join the crowd celebratin’ -- hope your also here w/me in spirit.
