Hey, IG friends! Just wanted to talk on here and update yall on how my training is set now to best reach my goals as a #dualathlete competing in both bodybuilding and powerlifting. . So as I transition my training to more of a "bodybuilding" focus I still train the big 3. I only spend about 20-30 minutes a week on each movement. I'll warmup, work up to a single @7RPE, do a few back off singles and then I move on to my bodybuilding work. Recently a lot of people in the gym have asked . "Why do you only do sets of 1 rep?" "How does doing one rep sets benefit you?" . . This is why I do it and how this benefits me. . 1.*MOST IMPORTANT*-Because I enjoy training these three movements 2. To stay acclimated to the movements so it doesnt feel foreign when I decide to run a more powerlifting focus training block. 3.Build confidence with these movements(this goes handed in hand with no.2) 4. I'm able to focus more on efficiency of the movements. How I move the weight instead of how many reps/ weight I'm doing. 5. I'm able to do these movements without building too much fatigue for my bodybuilding work. . Not much volume for the big 3 now adays but they still get some love all while being able to focus on the bodybuilding side of things #waynegains #thedualathlete (at Blink Fitness) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9x8s3cBreY/?igshid=1wgc5im8qr98z
