Ch. 1 🦇

E.M x Henderson! Reader

Summary: You and your boyfriend Eddie narrowly make it out of the upside down (with some help from your friends) after Vecna is presumed dead.

Authors note: Reader is Dustin’s sister. This story differs from the plot of volume 2, but definitely includes similarities. Our flight got delayed sooo I made this way longer than I planned. I’m splitting it into 2 parts (maybe more if u like it? 👉👈) The internet where we’re staying is spotty so I’m sorry if anything doesn’t look right or if the pics don’t load.

Warnings: ANGST (no Eddie death-you’re safe here), graphic descriptions of injuries and blood, descriptions of a physically strong reader (sorry if that triggers the incels 😘) suggestive themes, and, of course, some signature fluff.

Eddie cautiously but excitedly made his way on top of the trailer and ushered you and Dustin to the side. He positioned his guitar carefully, ripped his guitar pick from around his neck, and winked at you. While you all were facing possible death, he gave you the most devilish grin you’d ever seen on him. You couldn’t help but return the smile, admiring the badass energy he exuded. He took a deep breath and called “Y/N, this is for you.” What conspired in the next few minutes left you a lightheaded mess, jaw falling open at the sight of him smashing every note with perfection and passion. You were scared as hell, worried any moment he could be targeted by the creatures he was trying to distract. Still, you couldn’t control how turned on you were as he reached the guitar solo, giving everything he had to the show, even if there were only 2 people and hundreds of demobats watching. He looked like he was playing for the fate of the world. Which he basically was. “EDDIE!” Dustin yelled frantically, “We need to lock down in T-minus 30 seconds!” Your entire body was vibrating with adrenaline and anxiety. You wanted nothing more than to grab your love, grab Dustin, and get them back to the right Hawkins. Eddie didn’t need to do this, he didn’t need to fight, to sacrifice everything for this town. This town that hated him. Mocked him. Abused him. Rage burned inside of you at the thought of the person you loved most putting his life on the line, knowing he would never get the acceptance or recognition he deserved. 15 seconds had gone by, and you were running to Eddie. “Eds, baby, please let’s go!” He faced you, an inextinguishable fire burning in his eyes. “You don’t like my performance?“ he cocked his head to the side, innocently. You grabbed him with such force and abandon that he had to hold on to you to keep you from stumbling off the trailer. Your lips crashed on his, pulling him as close as humanely possible. It wasn’t a long kiss- you were in a hurry to get out of there-but it was the best kiss you’d ever shared. Your hands grabbed his face passionately, only thinking about trying to shield him from anything that could hurt him here. Which was, in fact, everything. His thoughts mirrored yours as he broke away from the kiss, staring at you with pure obsession and love. He needed you like he needed air. “Baby, as much as you know I love kissing you, we should probably go, yeah?” He asked teasingly. You shot him a look, both of you knowing you could never be more than slightly irritated with him. Not after today... He grabbed you and Dustin’s hands and you jumped off the trailer onto nearby cars, making a beeline for the trailer. Eddie was shouting, desperately trying to get the people he loved most out of harms way. Once you made it into the trailer, you were quick to seal any weak spots, knowing Eddie’s trailer like the back of your hand. The trailer looked so badass, there were eery vines covering everything, ominous particles floating in the air, and a blueish black tint to your surroundings. Eddie and Dustin were laughing excitedly, jumping in the air like idiots running off pure adrenaline. You couldn’t help but smile lovingly, knowing how much fun your boyfriend and brother were having, even if you were in the most panicked state you’d ever been. “OK BOYS, SHIP. OUT.” You called, breaking them from their high. The three of you ran to the gate, and you helped Dustin climb through first. Then you turned to Eddie. “Nuh, uh, princess- you first.” He demanded, his voice dead serious. You pouted and began to climb the rope, knowing it would just slow you down to stop and argue. As soon as you were right side up, you looked down at Eddie and immediately tried to grab for him, knowing he was still feet away from you. Eddie started to advance on the rope, but abruptly stopped, looking into your eyes. “What are you doing, Eddie? Cmon, please, come on!” You whined desperately. Eddie just looked at you. “Do you think we bought them enough time?” He asked quietly.

I’m officially on vacation!!!!!!!!! So excited to get a break from work and have fun. I’ll have plenty of time to relax and write!
