The Midnight Gospel - Duncan Trussel (2020)

One of the best animated series I've ever watched in my whole life. Basically, the main character is named Clancy Gilroy. He lives in a dimension called Chromatic Ribbon. Because he is sad and depressed, he likes to travel through different worlds, thanks to a multiverse simulator, to interview some random people for his spacecast.

The serie is actually based on real podcasts chaired by the creator of the serie with various guests.

As a little anecdote, the first time I watched The Midnight Gospel, I was so high (so high) on ketamin that I actually thought I had created the show. I mean, I thought I had dreamed it, I thought I had lived it while being the protagonist. So, when a couple of weeks later I rewatched it with a friend of mine, I was like "wtf? this thing is actually real and did not happen in my head?"

The last episode FUCKED.ME.UP.

In a few words: science fantasy, surrealistic, psychedelic, dark, funny, sad, deep, crazy, original... but those are just words. They don't mean anything.

If there is no answer to the big question of why we exist then why are we all still playing the games we invented? We are animals making up rules and telling our fellow animals to follow them but no animal has to listen to another we were just raised to be polite!

If all of that is true then why are you still not doing what you want? Why are you playing the get your wages and try to live, you hate this person but you're nice around them, your friend is an asshole but you stay quiet and tell others they're an acquired taste game.

If you don't like to play chess then you don't have to play, the game is optional instead of changing who you are so you can hang out with the ones that play try being unapologetically yourself and excise the people who take offense to that.

Where are you right now? I’m not being philosophical, really, where on earth is your physical body located? Let’s call this place point A. Now, where is your dream physically located or commonly found? Let’s call this place point B. Now, how fast can you physically move from point A to point B? Your actual physical proximity to what you want is 99.9% of what it takes to manifest and enjoy your #dreams. The #energy with which you long for something is your #momentum. Anything that slows the trip between point A and B is #resistance. Don’t worry about he resistance it’s a fact of life. Resistance and #DreamChasers are like peas and carrots. With appropriate #momentum obstacles of resistance can definitelybe navigated or conquered. As an extra bonus when you conquer a resistance it becomes a new foot hold, a vantage point to view your path from, a safe place to catch a #breather. Anything that stops the trip in it’s tracks is #fear but rest assured that with the appropriate momentum fear can be handled as well. As an extra bonus when you #travel through a fear you actually gain momentum to help you on the rest of your journey. It’s like getting killing a level boss in Mario and getting your health back before tackling the next stage of the game. The small question; does your dream have the momentum to get you from point A to point B? …Maybe... Will you need to stop along the way to tackles fears and gain more momentum for you journey?…Probably... The big question; is your dream strong enough to give you the momentum you need to take your first steps right now? If not, then maybe it’s not really your #dream. If so, start walking….
