Interesting fact: Paul’s never heard a Southern American accent before (and we live in Alabama, so now they’re all over). When we were fronting together, he mentally processed it as a “elongated, crowing twang”. It’s just interesting to see how he’s experiencing all of this for the first time.

Joked earlier about people from Arrakis “doing it without rhythm”. Paul doesn’t outwardly show many emotions due to his mother’s training, but man. That disappointment was strong. Lol

Paul update:

I officially saw Paul today, in a groggy daze. Turns out, after spawning in our system and spending a few weeks learning his new normal, he decided what he needed after surviving Arrakis was a big fucking nap. So he’s been occasionally reading and sparring in his room, coming out to eat meals some days (he still eats others, but just has his food brought to him) and other than that has been completely zonked out of consciousness. He seems to finally be coming around to feeling like a person again. Kristy saved him a plate from dinner in-sys, so he’s headed off to go eat.

So… Yay for long fucking naps and recovering from burnout!
