This year we’ll  be hosting our own monthly Artist Spotlight, where we ask our favourite artists to make something limited for the club.

Our first artist had to be our good pal and long time ghostie, Neil Slorance! Neil made this comic for us and it’s available now as an A4 print! We think it’s pretty darn beautiful.

We got Neil to answer a bunch of questions for us, and you can read them (and more about him!) here

All The Awkward...

Context: So, I play a ranger in my groups D&D campaign. Sutora to be exact. This summer I won’t be able to play her because of my summer job with no internet access, so apparently my sister (the DM) wanted this game to be more memorable for me. Her and our barbarian (Thodin) had been planning this since the start of the game apparently...

First Part

*We found a ring that increases AC by 1*

Balls (OOC): “Who has the lowest AC?”

Sutora (OOC): “I think I do. I’m only at 17.”

DM (OOC): “Yeah it’s you. So you should probably take it.“

Thodin (OOC): “I walk up to Sutora, bend down on one knee, and show her the ring.”

*awkward silence*

Sutora: *moves character back one space* “Thodin, what are you doing?.”

Thodin: “I’M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU! AND YOU JUST REJECTED ME!”

*laughing fits and me slightly dying*

Sutora (OOC): “I take the ring and tell him thank you.”

Second Part

*We are on watch for the night. Thodin and Sutora are on watch together. Sutora’s snake egg just recently hatched and Thodin has a squirrel companion, so Sutora is trying to make the two bond so her snake doesn’t eat Sheamus in the future. Meanwhile, Thodin is practicing his ice sculpturing skills*

Thodin (OOC): “Ok, I’m going to make another sculpture.” *rolls a Nat 20* “FINALLY!”

Sutora: “What did you make?”

Thodin: “I have a present for you Sutora!”

Sutora: “I swear if this is another proposal-”

DM (OOC): “No no no. Just wait.”

Thodin (OOC): “I push over to Sutora a life-sized ice sculpture of her with a golden necklace hanging from the neck of the sculpture. The charm is a heart. The front has an engraving of her name, the back says ‘To the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.’ “

*complete silence*

*bursts of laughter for several minutes*

DM (OOC): “YOU BETTER NOT REJECT HIM THIS TIME!”

Sutora (OOC): “Umm....oh god this is weird. I uh...I smile and give him a big hug (reminder that he’s huge compared to my character) and kiss him on the cheek.”

Thodin (OOC): “GRAPPLE CHECK SO THAT I CAN KEEP HER IN A HUG!” *gets a high roll because he has the strength, and I have no chance against it* “But I let go of her after a minute so I don’t seem too obsessed.”

5/29/2016 Session

*Sorry it’s been awhile everyone. We’ve been having problems with being busy and whatnot, but this will likely be the last session I’ll be posting in awhile.*

“My first action is to pick Andrew’s pocket since he’s not here!” ~Balls

“I’m gonna cast Spark at his crotch!” ~Balls

“You guys can wait in the trees, I’ll continue defiling him.” ~Darstina

“Well it probably only takes a shot of beer to get a squirrel drunk.” ~DM

“Well let’s pee on him.” ~Balls

“Smother him in your boobs!” ~Thodin

“Damn, this dagger is sassy.” ~Sutora

“I like pee shivers.” ~Darstina

5/8/2016 Session

Sorry guys, this one isn’t going to be super great. I was having a horrible headache the whole game and ran to the bathroom thinking I was going to throw up about 5 times. That, and we were walking around a town gathering stuff most of the time, so not much interesting stuff.

“Balls is sexually confused. He doesn’t know what’s happening.” ~DM

“PFD means Pole-dancing for Dwarves.” ~Balls

“Did...did you just turn British?” ~Balls

“Hi ho! Hi ho!” ~Balls

“Why are you saying hi to Darstina?” ~Thodin

“Who’s your best weapons smith? It better not be Susan. Me and her go waaaaaayyyy back.” ~Balls

“How much does it cost to buy a leopard print loin cloth?” ~Thodin

“Go use dem feminine charms! Wait! I have feminine charms! I’ll come with you!” ~Sutora

*after having a very serious discussion* “I call the top bunk!” ~Thodin

“Is it kinda like GGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Except more Thodin-like.” ~Darstina

“It’s a fart vial, isn’t it?” ~Sutora

“So you’ll kinda match Thodin’s loincloth.” ~DM

“He probably really has to pee bad.” ~Balls

“You just got bitch slapped by a naga.” ~DM to Balls

“Rand is down on his knees with intense pain on his crotch. You can shoot over him.” ~DM

“Aww, the friendly cleric. Oh, nevermind. She’s healing herself.” ~Balls

“May or may not be holding a maraca.” ~DM

“Unfortunately, Balls heard you say that you found a shiny thing.” ~DM

“SHEAMUS FOUND THE MILLENNIUM FALCON!” ~Sutora

“Hey, will the druid chick with the antlers come lay next to me? She looks horny.” ~Balls

“I wade into the water and say, ‘Fish, come to me. I’ve come to give you hugs!’ Then under my breath say ‘of death’.” ~Sutora (who can now talk to animals)

“The fish come to you with no hesitation. You have several fish in your arms now.” ~DM

“I caught all the fishies guys!” ~Sutora

“Oh, the spell I used on your balls was cantrip, so I can use it as many times as I want.” ~Darstina

“I’m going to hug the fire elemental to restrain him.” ~Thodin

“So next time, let’s not pee on the magical fire.” ~Rand
