Reborn from the ashes of knowledge, wisdom.
I had the really cool opportunity to participate in the GW2 Wintersday Zine at the end of last year. The theme being “Journey”, I decided to focus on one of my favourite core GW2 sight that I came upon while exploring the game: Durmand’s Priory!
I couldn't pass the opportunity to slide in Jua (mine) and Aodh (@shuuzaar ‘s OC) in their travels ‘round Tyria.

History of Durmands Death Trap
*Do not repost. Reblog only. Do not use without permission.*
It is rumoured that Durmand was a great wizard who collected powerful artifacts and magical objects during the events of the Dawn War in order to prevent their misuse in the mortal world.
He created a sprawling dungeon in order to keep his treasures safe, but with all the magic and power stockpiled in one place, rumours spread and adventurers from all walks of life sought out his creation and attempted to claim these powers and forces for their own use.
Knowing that he was reaching the end of his mortal life, Durmand sought out some of the most clever, skilled, renowned and like-minded individuals, and tasked them with creating the ultimate death-trap within his dungeon in order to deter and prevent anyone from ever claiming and unleashing the horrors that Durmand had locked away.
As the task was nearing its end, Durmand locked himself away and used the remainder of his time and energy researching a spell that would allow him to bind his life force to his creation.
He prepared the ritual and cast the spell, but in doing so, the dungeon experienced a cataclysmic surge of wild and untamed magic as his soul and essence were shredded and ripped from his body; and a rift was created in the fabric of time and space.
It is said that Durmands Death Trap has been sighted in different places and times throughout history, and just as quickly as its location becomes known, the dungeon mysteriously vanishes.
Along with everyone, and everything, inside...
