I have been reading a ton of Final Fantasy VII fan fiction in recent days.  A personal favorite of mine is "begin the end" by dustofwarfare.  You can read the entire thing as of now here:

Honestly, at the end of chapter 14.  To me is a good way to end the story, but I know that there is more and would to see where the author is taking this one.  

Coming from someone who works within the publishing industry.  I'm rather impressed with the quality of work that is coming out of fanfiction.net in recent days.  It's alot better than the stuff that I have to edit on a regular daily basis sometimes...

Also if dustofwarfare is reading this entry, you made me a fan of Placebo now.  I have been listening to "begin the end" on repeat is seems. :3
