A Moment in Starlight: My Heart Leapt

IMAGINE!!!! Thorin catching you in the woods of Rivendell. Him and Her POV!

Her: The cool Summer breeze kissed my skin as I breathed in the scent of the evening sky. I had just gotten out of one of the refreshing pools. My skin became like silk, like the water miraculously healed my calloused skin. Even my battle scars felt different. No wonder the elves were so regal. How could anyone have any duress in a home like this? Rivendell was so beautiful, I almost didn’t want to leave. I looked up into the heavens, pinks and purple stained the sky. Waking stars began to litter the dewy blue hue taking the place of such vibrant colors. It was Valhalla. Like my Valhalla. 

My heart began to weigh as I thought of Mother. How I missed her light and her melodic voice. I missed her songs as she would call to us. I even missed Father. Though stern and cross with just about everything, I missed him. Thorin greatly reminded me of him. With my eyes closed, I smiled at the sky imaging my family. My thoughts gradually came back to me, as I found the smell of him intoxicate me. Earthy. Woodsy. My Warrior Prince.

I hid the notion of his presence by keeping steady. I knew he was there. Perhaps he even knew that I was aware of his presence. But how long would he stay hidden in the shadows before he would say something to me. The dwarf prince was not shortsighted. He had seen thus far what abilities I possessed. The cunning fox in me let him on. I longed for him to approach me. Yearning what could never be mine. I opened my eyes and looked in his direction. My heart ached. But he smiled. My heart leapt. 

Him: I saw her standing in the juvenile moon light. My eyes, like thirsty wolves, drinking in her divinity. Kisses from the breeze caressed her skin, and carried her scent to me. It filled my nostrils, making me drunk of her. Her long black hair draped on her muscular, yet feminine shoulders. How I wished I could nuzzle the soft and slender neck it concealed. Desiring my lips to be pressed on her shoulder, feeling the smooth of her flesh. 

She was smiling at the moon. My heart embraced the notion of being the root of her blissful moment. Hastily, I abolished the thought. My focus must be the company and reclaiming the mountain. Yet, my arms wanted to be around her; to hold her close. I watched her angelic face turned to where I stood. Her golden honey eyes had slight sadness in them. But she smiled. My heart leapt.
