I imagine Tobias in the band AU as like McCarfferty and The Front Bottom vibe. Both the lyrics and the instrumantual. I can picture him screaming them (well mostly beacuse it feels like he is not living in the church anymore and he realized how abusive his dad was when he was a child)

Anon. I love you. You have opened my eyes to a new world of music, and I don't care what it takes, SOMEBODY is singing a song of this. I still haven't really made up...like...the LORE or the headcanons I said I was going to make/adjustments to make everything feel smoother or like...more logical to how the bands came about and the freedom they have and stuff, but I do have some ideas which I will include in a different post hopefully soon!

Ramblings undercut about Dwayne and his band:

But what I DO know is that Dwayne is in a band, it's his current group, and he is all too ecstatic to bring more people into it. They're not famous, they're not very well known, and usually perform on the streets. I learn towards them being like... I don't know the English word or how to describe it, but I'm imagining bands where you might THINK that everybody is just doing their own thing based on their outfits/hair/aesthetic and whatnot NOT matching like most bands do, but then you see them perform and it all just blends in very well...

I forgot most of their names tbh, but I WILL update this again with their names,BUT I remember the nicknames so here's the band:

Dwayne- is the lead singer, he's also a guitarist and likes to write the lyrics to their songs. The lyrics is an "everyone pitches in" aspect, and that's the whole point of their group, but Dwayne gets most of the ideas and the others mostly help him make the lyrics more... Constructed and flowy, ya know?

Froggy- is a backup singer or the second main singer, she is the choreographer and is still the mom of the group, letting everyone have their fun and also being very playful, but she still manages to keep everyone from ACTUALLY doing their own thing and missing you the rehearsals.

Cricket- plays the cello still, and is the reason Dwayne suggested they make a band. Started as a joke, but then Dwayne got super excited, Froggy pitched in and they just did it once for fun and never looked back since then. He's very happy with the band, and their small performances and lack of actual fame makes him very happy, because while there were the very rough bumps in the road at first, the small group helped ease him out of his anxiety and shyness a bit, still polite, but more confident in his playing. Someone from the crowd once shouted he was their favorite, and he treasured that moment like his soul.

Shark- the DJ. He does remixes of their albums, helps with the beat, and is just chilling. I like to think he also does drums and other instruments, because he learned it a while back for one reason or another, and that makes him perfect for when the band wants to make an instrumental. Of course, the group doesn't want him to be the only person who does so much of the instrumental, so everyone is trying to learn a second instrument or how to DJ. Dwayne strikes me as the type to want to learn several things at the same time, which causes him to be the last person to learn anything due to...well, laziness that comes out of seeing too much on your plate. He learns! Definitely! He's very excited! Just.. slowly.

The guy with the purple eyes whom I forgot his name and nickname (I'm sorry)- from what I remember and what I gather, he wouldn't be into.. performing. I like to think that he decided to just be the manager and editor. He definitely knows a lot about music and is very good with tunes and pitch, so he might handle the technical equipment with the help of Froggy too, preferring to do the work off stage because he'd rather not deal with people more than he needs to. Idk, he just feels like..he can tolerate people, but he's always subtly annoyed and he doesn't want to be under the pressure of performing in front of a crowd.

Sorry for taking your ask in a totally different direction anon! My bad...but I will definitely listen to more songs by them and get started on the main four's...uh, origin I guess

whatever dwayne x francis’s ship name is — 10/10. not adding anything else cause there’s honestly nothing to add

tobimelo — 7.5/10. i don’t really have any problems with this ship. compared to others, it’s definitely not the worst one out there. while i’m not the biggest fan of tobi in relationships, if it HAD to happen i wouldn’t be horrifically upset if it was with carmelo, if that makes sense. my only problem is the play scene, and it may have been edburt, but carmelo obviously wasn’t aware of that.

rudias — 6/10. i’m very very conflicted on this one. so yes and no to it. had the halloween thing not happen, i’d probably be a little more open minded to rudias. here’s why i’m not. besides the attempted murder, i just think tobias is considered too violent and too unreliable for rudy. i’m not saying they’re not good as friends, in fact i loved when their friendship was still good and even making progress. i just think it’s not likely for them to be in a healthy relationship but it’s only a 6 because there are worse ones.

rudymilio — 5/10. okay the thing with me is i don’t even like relationships with rudy period. but this one, i don’t like specifically because i don’t get it. mostly because of emilio’s stalker-like personality with everybody, which. probably wouldn’t end in a relationship with rudy or anybody tbh

rudymelo — 2/10. i like carmelo as a character, right? not saying i excuse or approve of his actions, but when he’s not an asshole, i like him. but what i can’t ignore is that his treatment literally drove rudy to suicidal thoughts. he even debated suicide until he heard his mother and tobias’ voices. like even if carmelo does get better later on, it still doesn’t erase that.

tobimilio — 0/10. nobody in the world could compete with me on the level of hatred when it comes to tobimilio i’m so sorry. to shorten it, tobi could not handle being in a relationship and taking care of someone who’s just as mentally unstable as he is which is emilio. + the whole sa scene — there’s not much to say with that part.
