Dates (how often they occur/a general idea of the date) -

Poor D-man! Dates do not occur as often as he likes. It’s not because he doesn’t want to, but it’s because this mans hardly has the time. Dates are often spontaneous or in the moment. If he finds that he suddenly has the time for a date, he’s gonna do it. That being said, it’s probably not going to be like an “out on the town” date. It’s going to be a dinner that he made special for you- most likely your favorite food. That’s not the only ace up his sleeve. Sometimes a movie night, or a night by the river, something the two of you can do together. Something small, but special and sentimental. It has to MEAN something, that’s just how Pride rolls. Even though it’s always at the spur of the moment, he makes sure that you know you’re the only one for him and that he loves YOU.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE CLOSEST, WARMEST, AND SOFTEST HUG EVER????? Because that is a Dwayne Pride™ hug. His hugs are common as fuck, but SOMEHOW, he makes them feel like you’re opening presents on Christmas morning EVERY TIME. If you’re sad, his hugs are tight. He wants you to know you’re not alone; that you’re safe; that he’s there for you through whatever is going on. It’s also not uncommon for Pride to kiss the side of your head when he hugs you. His nose ends up getting buried in your hair or gets squished up against the side of your face. His arms always -and I mean ALWAYS- go under yours. If you get a hug from Pride, I don’t know how you could still be sad, because that man’s hugs could cure anything and everything.

First Kiss (what their first kiss is like) -

Pride’s first kiss is gentle as fuck, careful too. He’s probably a little nervous because he doesn’t wanna bump his nose against yours or something. His hand is going to go for your arm and his thumb will 10/10 caress your arm. He’s going to lean in for the kiss, but because he’s a gentleman™, he’ll ideally want YOU to initiate the kiss. If you are too nervous, of course, he’ll kiss you first. Catch Pride smiling into the kiss and probably laughing (more than likely to put you at ease). I don’t even doubt that he would cradle your face in his palm or do that cute shit where he has your chin between his index finger and his thumb.

DATING DWAYNE PRIDE HWADCANONS

Wow talk about the best fucking boyfriend ever in existence. He’s so beautiful and so great. He cares so much about you and loves you endlessly.

He’s going to ask if you’re okay A LOT, if you’re hungry, thirsty, tired, ALL OF IT. You are one of his biggest priorities and he cares about your well being.

Plenty of kisses. All the time. For no reason AT ALL. I mean of course because he loves you, but honestly he’s just AFFECTIONATE AS FUCK OKAY.

If he’s had a rough day there are two Dwayne’s you can get: 1. The Dwayne Pride that is distant, quiet, and probably under the influence of alcohol, but never rude. 2. The cuddly Dwayne Pride who just wants to lay down and relax.

Pride will cook for you all the time. Oh you need a little snack? Boom that boi is in the kitchen.

Probably will put your own life before his. Especially when it come to the job. You’ll always here the famous line “Ah can’t letcha get hurt.” Something along those lines.

Headcannon for the first time with Pride? (...you know what I mean...)

Oh I know what you mean ;)

Pride is a giant, a gentle giant.

Pride will always ask if this or that is okay. He’ll also ask if you want to continue like 5,000 times. He NEEDS to be sure.

He’s concerned with every squeak or small sound you make.

It’s all about making you feel good. He’s much more concentrated on you and how you’re feeling than himself.

Once things pick up and you’ve assured Pride 5,000 times™.

He starts to enjoy himself more, because you too, are enjoying everything. He can worry less about hurting you.

He’s going to leave kisses all along your body. He will make sure to cover every inch with kisses.

Pride would try to be quiet to listen for sounds of discomfort. I mean he will have low groans and sighs, but he’ll want to pay close attention to your reactions.

Afterwards, Pride would take care of you, even if you didn’t necessarily need it. He’ll get you water, hold you, kiss you, whatever. He’s a generous guy who cares about you a whole lot.
