The proposal | Alex & Noah
Noah had definitely made an effort for this night. He'd dressed in a shirt and trousers and tried his hardest to tame his messy hair. He'd told Alex earlier to dress up, told her he wanted to treat her like a princess for the night, trying desperately not to make it obvious he was planning something. He'd told her he was meeting her at the restaurant, but really he was planning on knocking on the door and handing her flowers like they didn't live together and they were teenagers again. Maybe she'd recognise that he was trying to recreate their first date. He'd booked her favorite place to eat, the same place they ate at the first time he took her out, and as he stood outside their house, 20 minutes before he'd told her to meet him he held her favorite flowers in his hand. He'd spent the last 10 minutes checking and rechecking that the ring was still in his pocket, but he knew he needed to knock before she left herself and found him standing outside like an idiot. Taking a deep breath he knocked on the door, and put the flowers behind his back.
