all of the jokes that had been made about murphy being a cockroach and unable to die had been explained to her on the ark and now,  it seemed she only had all of the evidence of it for herself.  except this time he technically had died.  it just hadn’t been permanent.  echo had thought this place would have some kind of advance medicine like they had on the ark or sanctum’s ship and yet that had used methods that nearly reminded her on earth.  using the moon to survive and not relying on technology.  she hadn’t expected to see that here.

“an entirely new world and you’re still living up to the cockroach name.”  despite the fact that the thought of him dying scared the life out of her,  echo’s tone remained light,  an edge of a smirk ghosting across her lips.  she cared for him.  he was a part of her family.  and honestly,  sometimes he had been easier to get along with than the others in speiskru.

❛   what,  do  you  not  think  theon  handsome?   ❜     the  blood  queen  smirks,  looking  from  the  warrior  standing  guard  next  to  her  throne  to  the  delinquent  boy  with  an  arched  brow.     ❛   i  find  him  quite  attractive,  and  i  know  i’m  incredibly  beautiful,  so,  logically,  that  would  make  theon  and  i  an  attractive  couple.  ❜     she  shrugs,  pausing  as  brown  eyes  sweep  up  and  down  john’s  form. 

❛   though,  i  will  admit,  you’re  quite  handsome,  yourself.  so,  undoubtably,  we’d  make  an  attractive  couple,  as  well.  but  cuter  than  theon  and  i?   ❜     she  purses  her  lips  in  a  playfully  doubting  expression.     ❛   i  don’t  know  about  that.  why  don’t  you  come  take  theon’s  place  beside  my  throne  for  the  night  so  we  can  see?   ❜     she  glances  at  the  guard,  who  obediently  takes  a  few  steps  away  from  his  post,  making  room  for  john  to  stand  beside  her.     ❛   —   come  now,  i  don’t  bite.   ❜

❛  𝐖𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐆𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆.  ❜   viviana  shakes  her  head,  but  she  kisses  him  anyway  because  it’s  impossible  for  her  to  resist  kissing  him.     ❛   ariel’s  probably  driving  monty  and  harper  crazy  by  now,  and  if  we  ever  want  them  to  babysit  for  us  ever  again,  we  should  probably  go  relive  them.   ❜     she  laughs,  beaming  at  him  as  she  loops  her  arms  around  his  neck. 

they’re  incredibly  lucky,  actually,  that  the  entirety  of  speiskru  utterly  adores  their  daughter.  but  that’s  not  surprising,  considering  ariel’s  irresistible  charm  and  cuteness.  plus,  she  thinks  having  a  child  around  lifts  everyone’s  spirits,  makes  them  feel  light  and  hope  for  the  future.  there’s  something  about  her  wide  -  eyed  innocence  that  draws  people  to  her,  makes  them  want  to  protect  her  and  her  child  naivety.  it’s  easy  to  want  to  give  up  up  here,  but  ariel  gives  them  all  a  reason  to  keep  fighting.

and  everyone  loves  when  they  get  a  chance  to  watch  her  to  give  viviana  and  murphy  a  break.

though,  viviana  will  admit  that  she’s  not  sure  how  she  feels  about  echo  being  ariel’s  favourite  person  right  now.  she  much  preferred  it  when  it  was  raven  that  the  young  girl  followed  around  and  idolized.  but  she  knows,  logically,  that  echo’s  no  threat  to  her  daughter;  she  adores  her  just  as  much  as  everyone  else  does.  it’s  just…  old  azgeda  wounds  run  deep,  making  it  hard  for  her  to  trust  echo.

❛   i  would  stay  locked  away  in  here  all  day  with  you,  if  i  could.   ❜     she  whispers  against  his  lips,  pouting  playfully.     ❛   but  since  you  got  me  pregnant,  we  have  parental  duties.   ❜
