Evan/Dylan: You can borrow my sweater.

“You can borrow my sweater,” he offers easily, tossing it to her in the same breath. “I wasn’t using it anyway.”

It’s soft and impossibly warm, and she’s not too proud to snuggle into it with a smile. “Thanks. But if you get cold-”

“Look, that’s thoughtful, but I’ll be fine.”

“-I was going to say, I’m not giving it back.” She grins, and he tries to muster an offended look for several seconds (he looks ridiculous and adorable, and she doesn’t bother to stifle a laugh) before sighing, rolling his eyes dramatically.

“See, that’s what I get for being the thoughtful partner.”

It’s her turn to roll her eyes, nudging his shoulder with hers. He nudges her right back, and the lightness on his face (after so many shadows, so much loss) is almost as warm as the sweater.
