Arthur Pendragon mourns the death of his recently-deceased father and struggles with the relatively recent realisation that he prefers men to women.
A memorable meeting at The Rising Sun could very well be a precursor to great things for these two lost souls. Unfortunately, someone known to both Arthur and Merlin doesn’t want them together.

i dislike s5 and take a lot of issue with how c//a ended up in canon. ik that means im already disagreeing with like 90% of the fandom, but even among the people who dislike c//a i find myself disagreeing with their reasons behind it. like commonly cited reasons for disliking c//a that ive seen are that catra is abusive towards adora, her redemption is weak, therefore the ship is toxic and bad and we shouldnt like it, etcetc
so like a lot of c//a antis also seem to be antis in the general sense; like they think that enemies to lovers (REAL enemies to lovers, not the watered-down stuff) is abusive/bad/people shouldnt ship it, and THATS why c//a is bad-- because they pushed the “enemies” part too far. i dont think thats the problem, MY problem is that the show didnt properly redeem catra, rushed c//a into a relationship before they were ready, and then presented it as ~perfect relationship goals~ when really they have a LOT of work to do before they can be in a healthy relationship together. (and i take issue w that, if not from a moral standpoint then at least from a storytelling standpoint.)
but the BIGGEST reason why c//a doesnt work imo is that it just doesnt make any narrative sense for catra!!! catras entire character arc revolves around how shes obsessed w adora and was always in adora’s shadow, and unhealthily dependent on adora. so to have her get together w adora in the end as her big resolution is such a disservice to her character, it doesnt push her to grow and become a better, independent person at all!! at the end of the show we have little to no evidence of catra actually resolving her Issues that started this whole mess to begin with. its just like...literally WHAT was the point of all this then.
the glim//madora thing is mostly just that a lot of anti-c//a people seem to be salty glim//madoras that are convinced that g//a shouldve been canon, were close to being canon or just...were hinted by canon at all. i mean i like g//a just fine but nothing in the storytelling pointed at them being romantically interested in each other. theres ppl who were shocked by c//a or saying that it “came out of nowhere” and like...are we watching the same show??? c//a was so obvious right from the beginning.
so yeah idk in general i find that most people who are critical of c//a at all go too far with it or not in the right direction imo, and most of them seem to dislike catra and want to ‘protect’ adora or smth, which is...fine, but definitely not why i care to criticize it
...So I do have a question now. Is there a central community location (a discord server or a chat room or a forum) where bang participants can optionally hang out? No is fine, but I’m just wondering if I’ve missed a link while scrolling through the blog.
Thank you for your ask! Although we considered setting up a Discord, we ultimately decided against it so as to keep moderation duties manageable. You didn’t miss out on anything, no worries! ;)
That being said, participants are free to set up an unofficial server, or to talk about the challenge on existing servers.
