I completely understand that because Slow Garments has a higher price point, you may wonder where that price comes from 💭I have worked so hard to find sustainable fabrics, threads and packaging⏳ They do not come cheap because these resources are made sustainably♻️ More so, to the likes of Slow Garments who is only a small business, buying smaller quantities (believe it or not with all them rolls of fabrics😆) is more expensive🪡 Brands you may see using Tencel Lyocell fabric right now ; ASOS, H&M, Monsoon, Ted Baker, North Face, & Victoria Secret. AHHH!! 🤩 I really hope that puts into prospective for you how big it was for little old me to get this fabric! 🥲As soon as I set eyes on this fabric I knew I had to have it for the collection that launched last year. Now really my plea to you is to ask to invest in one of these tops, because you are not “just” investing in a top, you are investing in me & my work towards fighting against Fast Fashion & Slow Garments, a brand who only works with sustainable resources & high ethical practices. This is why I am so so grateful for every purchase. You will see the Tencel Lyocell fabric (which also makes my best selling leggings) is in some pretty big brands above! Which is amazing for this innovative fabric, but those brands business models & ethics are completely different to Slow Garments. Their business models can only thrive and succeed from the exploitation of workers & very cheap fabrics like polyester and cotton - both known for its planet polluting and worker exploitation. Remember 20% of the worlds cotton comes form Xinjiang where the Uyghur’s(Turkic Muslim minority) are exploited. Last night when I saw this fabric drying I knew I wanted one so you guys chose a top style for me this morning ☕️ Say hi to my Espresso long sleeve square neck in the Tencel fabric🥺👋🏼 I adore this colour so much and I know you guys have too considering how many messages I’ve had about it! 🤎 If you would like to purchase it, I have JUST added it on my depop, I am going to leave the listing up until SUNDAY! 🤎 The listing includes an extra £5 for the cost of the dye. The top is made with ethical practices and sustainable resources. I worked my socks off to get this specific fabric, when I finally found a trusted supplier it was very special. These things do not come easy! I researched the threads and labels to the highest standard so they are good for the planet & the people including us wearing it, so they have a super long durability & strength. Thursday 4th February 2021♻️ Here’s the square neck top in Sandy beige 😍 The sleeves were made to a custom length to the elbow. I adore this colour so much! I really enjoy using the dyes (incase you haven’t noticed😂) and honestly find the process so exciting each time! I currently have an expresso brown drying and I’m so excited to see it dry!! Thursday 21st January 2021 (21.01.21) I like this date 🤓 Today as you saw on my reel, I dyed the Tencel fabric for the first time! It’s a total game changer - I love it! Can’t wait to see the fabric in the morning dry 🤩 I also completed lots of orders so very pleased with that - including swim! Swimwear has definitely becoming more popular ALREADY! I’m so ready for the swimwear this year and it looks like you are too 👙 I actually never got round to showing you this open back top in black, so here it is!
