Denial vs. Confusing Acceptance Who else has had a dysfunctional childhood and/or a toxic parent...and you keep yoyoing between "..am I making this more than it is/was?? Maybe I'm wrong??" and "..what it is/was is the exact thing that is keeping me in denial of it"? The only thing that makes it more difficult is when you have siblings who deny it, depending on the day.
