大梦归离 Fangs of Fortune | episode 16
s02e16 –Roadkill
8/? of The Impala Series
i watched star trek: tng s3e16 (the offspring) and i have so many feelings that overwhelm me personally but i will say, if only data could see that what he did achieve and give to lal was love. the utmost dedication, the protective and nurturing desires, the drive to better himself in his fatherhood, structure and guidance, freedom to express themselves/herself... those are all acts of love. literally those are expressions of love, and of course tender care.
it's heart wrenching to think data created something he was motivated to be responsible for and do his absolute best to parent and raise and have a human-centric familial bond with, and as quickly as it ended, he could not recognize love for what it is. obviously this is not because data is stupid—it is only his emotional limitations, and even then...
i can't say with certainty at all that data is incapable of love, even though he can't feel it. maybe data thinks love is primarily a feeling, a thought process... but at the end of the day, love is action, love is behavior, love is choices... it's not just a feeling. it's what you do—not only what you say.

GWEN You can’t take this away just because I did something you never bothered to tell me not to. You’re always going on about how difficult it is to find reliable staff. Then why don’t you try actually training me for once?
employers fear her. i am in awe
I think one of the most transfem things you can do on a computer is running E on Arch Linux and playing Celeste while building a Rust project.
