One of the most intense moments of my life is still, to this day, the sheer insane, choking anticipation I got watching the E3 2015 Announcement trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake. I remember literally NOT BREATHING as I watched, thinking, 'is this what I think it is? It can't be. But what if it is? But they said they wouldn't be doing it But the music... Oh wait, OHMG GOD LOVES ME AND THIS IS PROOF!!!!!!.' I screamed so loud, my sister came in thinking I'd cut off my hand or something, and all I could do was grin and grin and squeak. I'm crying just thinking about it, sniff. No, seriously though, I think I might end up having been more excited for this game than anything else in my entire life. I have NEVER been that excited for something before, who knew a video game could do that to a person.

Every time Star Fox is mentioned, I keep remembering this moment during E3 2015...I loved it as a kid. I was 13 and got inspired to write my own skit with these people and Masahiro Sakurai was in there too. Anyways, I was laughing because Reggie's puppet in the middle of becoming Falco almost looks like the new Falco design and Iwata's puppet in the middle of turning into Peppy Hare just looks adorable

Addressing Nintendo's disastrous E3 2015 Digital Event fiasco - A decade later...

It was 2015, and handheld gaming was my only go-to source of spending time playing anywhere to my heart's desire. While it was the exact year Back to the Future's prediction about flying cars, self lacing shoes and hoverboards never happened (No hard feelings to Robert Zemeckis) and Slayer released its final album Repentless before their reunion came to light, there was one disaster that made Nintendo fans extraordinarily mad: the E3 2015 Digital Event.

This may trigger those reading this post, so I plan to lay off the pros and the cons revolving the presentation that took place when E3 was slain by direct-to-video features and stay at home orders. Unless you're ready, hit the jump!

Pros - Shigeru Miyamoto's puppetry is noted as a nice touch to his likeliness and appearance, standing out against the other two. Yo-Kai Watch was introduced to western players, despite the fact some diehard Pokémon fans stated it as a rip-off. Luckily, I still own a copy of Yo-Kai Watch 3 under the Sukiyaki moniker. This means I never got around to play the game, so I'd rather wait till I get a break from animating in my office next year. Xenoblade Chronicles X (or Xenoblade X elsewhere...) was shown before the Nintendo Switch arrived to save it from being botched up as a Wii branded disaster. Happy Home Designer, a spin-off of the original Animal Crossing series, paved the ways of allowing players to customize and figure out where to place furniture upon requests of many villagers and other special characters using amiibo figures and cards. Oh, and that Donkey Kong amiibo based on his guest appearance in Skylanders? Incredibly wacky. Same for Diddy, except he's only attached to him.

Cons - Star Fox Zero caused so much backlash for the use of forced motion controls without any actual buttons and sticks involved; Federation Force led so much dedicated Metroid fans to have a meltdown over the involvement of Next Level Games before deciding to make Samus the villain; amiibo Festival made it even worse; Mario Tennis Ultra Smash destroyed the importance of playing tennis; the ending of Super Mario Maker with Let's Super Mario made no sense until the Nintendo 3DS saved the game just like the Switch did with Xenoblade Chronicles X; prioritizing Fire Emblem as a means of retconning Hiroshi Yamauchi's golden legacy and made Lans G. the face of Nintendo. I won't say his name here, so I'll keep it to myself.

The main reason why I made this post is to address something what had happened. Looking back at the disaster that's Nintendo's E3 2015 Digital Event, perhaps we owe mariotehplumber a great, big apology. Why? He was right about all the things he straight up exposed until hardcore gamers found out over the sick truth. You may call mariotehplumber a troll, but after hearing what Nintendo has already become, we all gotta suck it up and make do. The company can be greedy at times, but as a freelancer myself, I'd never become friends with big ones.

You can try to deny, spin, damage control or even consider calling me out for the post I made with vulgar and obscene responses. The facts are facts; there's no point of getting around it. The E3 2015 Digital Event was a major flop, and it always will be. Maybe as a Nintendo fan when you decide to wake up in the morning and realize you made a mistake of supporting Lans G. for his BS excuses and terrible business decisions before picking up the pieces and do something incredibly new for once, it might be resurrected. But history shows it'll never happen again.
