i've just had a thought;

cmartyn and cren probably have matching fragments now. going by the logic that each fragment is from a significant moment, ren's from 3rd life is most likely around his neck from the beheading. what with martyn's for secret life being around his neck what with the secrecy/dog collar... ough.

PreLuz: Little Luz: Where Reincarnated!Reader and Luz get accidentally transported to the Boiling Isles long before she's supposed to be there.

EaE AU: Where Philip finds out Luz is human and tries to protect her from the Boiling Isles.

Guide AU: Normal Series but pushes beyond until S3 is released and Philip develops a protective stance over Luz the longer he's around her. Also not an attempt to impress R!Reader who he just met and didn't get thrown into the Boiling Isles at all.

Dovahbane: EaE Skyrim Special Edition (At least that's what I think of >XD). Philip traverses Skyrim as the Dragonborn with Luz in tow who believes she can "guide" him.

Family Time: Philip, R!Reader, Luz, and King are transported into a Pocket dimension at the will of the Collector who wants a nuclear family dynamic.

Altered Fate AU: Belos gets a "redo" of the whole series (No clue who would even give him that chance, certainly not the Collector) but he decides to kidnap Luz as a baby to enact revenge for what she did in the previous life believing she won't be able to stop him if killed. R!Reader, who had been babysitting baby Luz at the time, intervenes and he now finds himself in the position of raising her instead. It's like The Labyrinth but with a messed-up twist.

Imagine EaE Philip but instead of the EaE plot he falls into the future (but doesn't find out about Belos/who Belos is). Instead, he finds the Owl House and spends the day with Luz (who he knows is human), Lilith (who is having a crisis about the topic of her exhibition, and has a front row seat to the Clawthorne drama (and he definitely recognizes the name. bc Caleb). (Maybe Reincarnated Reader could be there too but I didn't want him to be too distracted by them...)

(The EaE AU does not have anything to do with Reincarnated!Reader as that is the Reincarnated AU in general. EaE AU is treated separately unless it ties into the R! AU specifically.)

This... is a VERY dangerous situation that could end up with Philip handing Luz over to Belos when he got what he needed. Philip, upon finding out that the Boiling Isles was an Empire, would feel the unbridled rage that leads him to confront Belos himself. He aimed to "cut it off at the head" only to learn that he and Belos were one and the same. Of course, he'd do this alone.

When he goes to give her over to Belos, he essentially tells him that their "deal is done" and he leaves to go find the time pool. Belos tells him when he gets there to "duck", which Philip finds odd. It's not until he gets to the time pools that Lilith and Eda catch up to him due to finding out what he did and when he's telling them off, Lilith swings at him, breaking his nose and causing him to stumble back into the time pool.

Luz believes she's escaped the castle on her own, but it was actually Darius who did it with mini abominations taking care of locks and such for her while remaining hidden.

Luz has no idea they are the same person, not until Hollow Mind where Belos tells her "Why else would he have handed you over to me? I had the best intentions for you, regardless of when we met."

When Philip brings Luz to Belos, Philip looks somewhat forlorn to be giving her up, even to himself. Belos, on the other hand, is visibly overjoyed underneath his mask.

Just a little bit, but it is for the best. Who can better take care of Luz than himself? And at least she'd be away from those witches, the owl worm, and the deranged cat 8D

Though we do have to address the elephant in the room. While Philip is in the future, he still has to get ahold of the Collector's mirror. 8<

When EaE au Belos and Philip meet and talk, what do they end up thinking about their past/fiture version of themselves?

Where Belos pretty much doesn't have much of an opinion since he already lived all of it, it's Philip that would have the biggest reaction.

Blond hair? Is he taller? The green scar... what happened to his nose and why is the scar going over his nose? Is this really him? Why did his voice sound like that? Is this what happened when he got ahold of the Collector? He was a lot more powerful... If it weren't for the eyes, he wouldn't have even thought they could be the same person.

It does amaze me that Belos remembers what he used to sound like.

You can imagine Philip having a fucking heart attack seeing Hunter from a distance though. Maybe seeing Hunter cemented the idea that Belos WAS him.

EaE AU Philip. Imagine that when he and Luz are talking about Earth, she casually mentions her mother and the conversation eventually leads to her godparent, Reader. She shows him a picture of them and he gets very still and quiet.

And that one would lead into a Guide AU of sorts since when Luz returns to her own time, Belos has every intention of bringing her with him in order to meet her godparent XD

And what I love about this is it can use Trinket or Beloved.

"Philip, look at this!"

Philip raised his head from his notes about these "timepools" he'd fell into, and looked up at the human child, Luz. She was holding a strange metal rectangle, with a dark glass exterior on one of the larger sides.

Closing his journal and making sure he didn't knock that witch's, Lilith's inks as she worked on the other side of the table, he scooted over to the end of the couch to give space to Luz.

"This is a phone!" she said. "I can't quite show you what it's supposed to be used for, that feature would only work in the Human Realm, but I can show you something else!"

The child turned the "phone" and did something with her fingers, and when she turned it back around Philip found the glass now exhibited what seemed to be a copy of her feet.

"C'mon, aim it!"

Philip took the phone and watched as the glass' image changed to whatever he pointed it at.

"Fascinating..." he muttered, "Luz, however is this possible?"

"Uhhhh- I think it has something to do with light? It captures light from certain angles and then uses the frequency to tell the screen - that's the glass thing, by the way - what colors to show."

"I see."

"Oh!" Luz hit her knee lightly, eyes widening as if she just recalled something, "That reminds me!"

The girl took a square of paper from the table and started to doodle something with what she had called "her trusty sparkly pen".

"Back when I first got here in the Isles, I used the phone to find my first glyph! I noticed you don't know it yet, you know, from when you showed us your glyphs, and-"

Luz tapped the paper, and a orb of light floated in front of her.

"Well," she grinned, "I thought you'd like to have the full set?"

Philip would be over the moon seeing this.

Now imagine Luz having the hardest time explaining to him that the phone is a HUMAN invention instead of a witch one. He wouldn't believe her XD

Your elsewhere and elsewhen concepts are so good it’s invading my brain. I can’t decide which concept I enjoy more, luz being stuck in another time, being pursued by philip because she’s human like him and he still has his savior concept, while being completely alone until she can find someone who can help (perhaps a certain witch who’s husband was a human…). She could also become desperate enough to join philip because she’s outta options and she needs help finding her way home.

Or the concept where lilith managed to survive, rescued luz from philip but now luz feels mentally torn between feeling bad for him yet hating him because he tried to leave lilith for dead. I just wonder about the differences that could happen if he knew she was human. Perhaps after seeing luz being “kidnapped”, this warps philip mental state, further pushing him to his goal of killing all life on the bi, since he felt he failed one of his kind, especially a child, and must do his best to repent for his failure. This concept to me is just so interesting in general i got loose ideas in my head about this.

There is so much that can be done for Elsewhere and Elsewhen, it's enough to drive one insane! There are so many routes and options, it's like a damn virtual novel with Luz as the protag. Certain choices would mean consequences elsewhere.

It would also be dangerous for her to seek out a Clawthorne since she would have Philip tailing her and he could try to enact further revenge if he recognizes Wittespouse since he'd blame them for his brother's death. Of course, Luz wouldn't have any idea as to why she couldn't seek out a Clawthorne either.

I feel the complicated feelings toward Philip would show a lot of grays in the characters. She'll come to realize that Philip's way of thinking may stem from experiences and will have a hard time condemning him 100% because he may not have been shown the kindness she was when he came to the BI. Of course, she wouldn't know that, she's just going off the snippet she's seen of his life. It may make her think he can be redeemed and shown that he was wrong, not realizing his mindset comes from conditioning, which is also not entirely his fault either. What is his fault is not questioning his beliefs and going through with harming others when shown evidence that they are not what he thinks they are. He cherry-picks how he's treated in the BI and would use it to justify himself.

Even later in Hollow Mind, Luz would be told by Belos that at the time, he felt the need to avenge one of his own who was taken by witches, later finding out that not only was she kidnapped but brainwashed against him, further making her feel that the way he turned out was her fault as well as helping him.
