Building off all the threads in the cover art for the chapter, Kohane’s appearance here gives a similar vibe. We keep seeing her from the side (interestingly, looking towards the direction Watanuki is approaching from), and in her panels she’s framed by a similar cascade of her hair, but bisected by the eyepatch she’s wearing, closing off her appearance as if trapped in a net. Even as she’s resolving to play her part here, she is as trapped here as she always is in her life, cornered by all the different threads with all their expectations of her, leaving her with no room to escape.

And when we see her from the front she’s SO SMALL. She’s just a small, injured child, sitting alone on the stage, in the middle of a spotlight, surrounded by darkness, with the lines of the curtain once again echoing the idea of a trap. Between the eye patch and the sling there’s hardly any of her left visible to us - as there’s barely any of HER left at all - and even the small shred of her honesty is now being taken away from her as well, until she is only a puppet who says what people want to hear and nothing more. 

And still, her mother watches it happen.

I'm going to draw a comparison one day, I know there's something there), Pokemon (legally, I am only in possession of PLA) and Pokemon esque games such as Nexomon (obsessed), open world games, choice games, visual novels, pretty/visually appealing games, Undertale (I thought it was ugly af until I got to Toriel's house. Thank goodness the whole game doesn't look like the ruins 😭🙏 sorry, I just find them hideous) and Stardew Valley.

I played Genshin for a while but fell off due to some factors and lost interest. At some point I discovered Tower of Fantasy and I won't lie, I loved it. Character customisation plus I enjoyed the sci fi aesthetic of it a lot. I like the setting of Genshin and all but for some reason I was just compelled by the world in TOF. I played it on someone else's PlayStation so I don't have access to that save but I still think about it to this day even though I just played it once lol.

Currently reading -> all sorts of fanfic 😊✨🙌 but I also want to hit some more classics. Also, I'm super powerful now that I have a library card.

Obsessed with superheroes but only if you play with them in certain ways. For example, totally skipped the MCU other than some fanfiction (lets me explore narratives I would actually like to have seen).
