since she wasn’t born as a baby but as a child, cedar could have been made as approx. a 5 year old girl. pinocchio modeled her to a similar age that his peers children were at (between 4-6). the huntsman and good king had almost spellementary aged children, the pied piper had adopted a daughter when he was close to finishing cedar’s carving. figuring out her age was difficult because he had to take into account how much time she’d have before she started her destiny (lot of pressure from grimm here) and how much time she’d get to have a childhood. as great of a childhood a puppet girl could have anyway. there’s always an adjustment period getting used to the world, functioning as a puppet, getting to a sense of normalcy (again as normal as a living puppet can be). i include all this because i feel pinocchio has always wanted the best for cedar, as any parent would. which fuels his decision to curse cedar never to lie because he thought it would keep her life moral and good.
