Snow White - Fiona White - meaning "fair, white, pale, beautiful", and yeah I did think it was funny to name her White White, what about it
Snow's Prince Charming - Revelation Charming - because he doesn't really ever have any
The Evil Queen - Eris Queen - named for the Greek goddess of strife and discord
The Good King - Noble Charming - it fits him and honestly I just liked it
Snow's Huntsman - Javlin "Jav" Huntsman - I've decided the Huntsmans are just bad at names
Cinderella - Cynthia Ella - wanted to give her a name sort of tied to her story, often mockingly shortened to Cindy
Cinderella's Prince Charming - Amity Charming - meaning 'a friendly relationship', demonstrates the dynamic between him and his destined True Love
The Fairy Godmother - Glorianna Goodfairy - I saw someone else name her Godiva (can't remember who at the moment) which I like, but didn't want to steal. Glorianna means "glory or fame" and "glorious grace"
Sleeping Beauty - Persephone Beauty - named for the Greek goddess of spring (tying to the roses) but also the dead (tying to the 100 year sleep she was supposed to have)
Sleeping Beauty's Prince Charming - Valor Charming - meaning "great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle" after his ceaseless quest to find and wake Persephone even though he wasn't meant to be her prince of destiny
The Dark Fairy - Carmilla Thorn - yeah after the lesbian vampire, sue me (please don't). A lot of people use Darcy for her which I really like, but I wanted my own thing, and Carmilla is just so cunty.
Red Riding Hood - Sirah - meaning red in minangkabau
Big Bad Wolf - Ronin - meaning drifter or wanderer, which I feel like is very much the reputation he curates
Red's Huntsman - Winchester "Winnie" Huntsman - yeah okay so the winchester rifle may not technically exist but consider, I wanted to name her that so I did
Beauty - Despoina - since her and Persephone are sisters, I named them after sister goddesses, but Beauty is named for a goddess that we know little about as I thought that would be fitting for such a curious character
The Beast - Boris - meaning many things, but among them “warrior,” “short,” “wolf,” and “god-like”
The Queen of Hearts - Victoria Hearts - I don't feel like this is original of me, but with Lizzie's full name being Elizabeth it felt like kind of a given, and I study the Victorian Era, so my bias popped out a tad
The Cheshire Cat - Irene Cheshire - named after Irene Adler of the Sherlock Holmes series, I wanted her to have a sort of mischievous name
The Mad Hatter - Cannoli "Nol" Hatter - with Maddie being Madeline, I thought it would be cute if they were named after the madeleine pastry, so I also gave him a pastry name
The White Rabbit - Sherlock Blanc - mostly just thought this was funny I'll be honest
Alice Liddel - Lorina - named for the real life Alice Liddel's older sister
Pinocchio - Hickory Wood - all the Wood's are named after well woods...
Geppetto - Asher Wood - I genuinely think that they're doing this as a bit tbh
The Blue Fairy - Sky Cerulean - yeah I named her after the blue fairy from rainbow magic, the last name I just like how it sounds and honestly always have, but her name does lowkey mean blue blue. Oh well.
King Charming - Clemency Charming - cause he has none, also him and his siblings are named alphabetically like the Bridgertons (because I heard about that and went hmm it's giving Charmings)
Queen Charming - Love Charming - also going for irony here, she isn't loving.
Rapunzel - Pansy O'Hair - symbolism (outside of the queer community) generally revolves around thoughts, remembrance, and admiration (unrelated but she is also a lesbian)(who said that)
Rapunzel's Prince Charming - Ardent Charming - you probably know the drill with these Charmings and my love for irony at this point
Rapunzel's Witch - Carnation Gothel - carnations are used to mean "love, fascination, and distinction" but also the green carnation as a queer symbol (as popularized by Oscar Wilde) to mean rebellion against social norms and "unnatural" beauty. (maybe there's something going on here...) also the last name, while now associated heavily with the disney movie, can be traced back to the original tale
Goldilockes - Marigold Lockes - often used as symbols of joy, resilience, and passion, which makes sense for what I want to do with her
The Swan Queen/White Swan - Sylvia Swan - yeah after Sylvia Plath. means spirit of the wood, which is super interesting with the whole permanently a swan/haunting the narrative situation
The Black Swan - Aira Swan - meaning air to contrast Sylvia's earth based name
Siegfried - Chastity Charming - cause he does infidelity
The Pied Piper - Baritone "Barry" Piper - wanted to stick with the music names
The Candy Witch - Cassia Breadhouse - wanted to name her for a spice like Ginger
Robin Hood - Jay Hood - wanted to name him after a bird as well but specifically a bird that's an asshole, so blue jay became Jay.
Maid Marian - Felicity Nottingham - just kind of felt like it fit her, can't really explain it
The Frog Prince - Hopper Croakington I - went back and forth on this for a bit as I wasn't sure of our Hopper's relationship with his father just yet, but let's just say I've decided...
The Little Mermaid - Pearl La'Mer - I think this one is actually canon, or maybe I'm making that up...
The Little Mermaid's Prince Charming - Temperence Charming - I think you can guess
The Sea Witch - Tempest Witch - meaning "a violent, windy storm", also just kind of like badass
Evil Step-librarian A - Scholastica - after the patron saint of education
Evil Step-librarian B - Alexandria - yeah after the library, fight me
