‘hey, isn’t that Ophelia Callous?’
“what is she doing here? This isn’t her class.’
‘she must be waiting for someone, I feel bad for whoever is feeling her wrath.’
‘let’s get out of here, before we’re next.’
The group of students shuffled away as the goddess glared at them as they disappeared out of sight. Laying her back against the wall, she knocked the back of her hand against the wall next to the doorway to the classroom a few times. “They feel bad for him; yet, he’s the one troubling me.” A shadow had been bothering Ophelia for a past year now and she wasn’t sure why until she heard about Jaye.
Although the information she gathered was sparse and inconclusive, it couldn’t hurt to find out if this was the guy constantly sending illusions that frightened her when she was leaving a guys dorms at night and hearing and feeling something grabbing at whenever she was alone. Apparently he was a voodoo master and although Ophelia knew little on the subject she knew that he hated her just like his friend Ezio did, it would be a good alibi to why he was messing with her. For that gray haired freak.
As the class emptied, leaving one lean pretty boy gathering his books, the goddess of war made her move. Moving through the open door, as her eyes flickered pink and the door shut and locked behind her along with all the windows she moved toward the boy. She had to be careful, he had abilities too. However his were borrowed and all things taken are limited and non-refundable. Unlike a god, unlike herself.
“Cute tricks you pulled on me lately, I was almost worried I was being haunted. It’s more like I’m hunting huh?” She asked before stepping closer to the other, getting a better look at the boy with a sullen face and unreadable expression. “See, I’m no good at keeping track of all my enemies but I would have remembered if Mr. Tall, dark and mysterious was someone I pissed off. Care to enlighten me on why you have a death wish?” She asked her eyes glowing bright pink, “if you want to fight, you have one.”
Just as Ophelia was preparing to fight, the lights suddenly shut off and a streak of lightning brightened the room temporarily before the thunder rumbled shortly thereafter. Sighing, Ophelia turned to the other before walking over to the window and sitting. “Storms calm me down, lucky for you. I can’t fight you right now.” This situation felt familiar, her sitting there watching the sky light up as the bolt struck the sky. A delicate finger to the window sill, she cast a glance at the boy. “This happened last year too, a thunderstorm warning told everyone to go to the gym but I ran off to a empty classroom and I just waited for the storm to pass over. I didn’t have any friends back than, but for some reason I didn’t feel lonely in that room...ever since than the storms have calmed me.” She wasn’t sure why she was telling the other all this, it just came to her all of sudden.
“Have we met before? You seem familiar but I don’t think we have ever spoken. You’re friends with Ezio right? Someone told me that.” That someone being Selene, but no need to sell her friend out.
Her voice softened as the sky lit up once more and gave a silhouette of the girl as she asked quietly. “Why do you hate me?”
