Who knew I would learn so much from a bunch of mortals?
There's a box wrapped in red with a black ribbon that had playing card patterns wound meticulously around it. A red note stuck to the ribbon, written in a handwriting which could have passed of as beautiful calligraphy 'Thank you for being just you and for staying by my side Alice. - Kok'. Inside the box, one would find a scrapbook filled with Ophelia and gorgeous views. Small notes for each picture like 'Let's go there together' and the final message being 'Let's make one together next time,'
Finding gifts for the individuals in Ophelia’s life was more then difficult; yet, it seemed to be more rewarding then she first thought. Seeing their reactions, and their happiness from just being given something was worth all the painstaking hours searching.
Returning to her room, she found yet another present and she couldn’t help squeal with glee knowing right away who it was from. Opening the box, slowly and carefully before revealing the beautiful scrapbook which brought a goofy grin as she read each note next to the photos before reading the last one.
Once again, Reed had outdone himself as her person. Hugging the book to her chest, she smiled to herself before texting her friend and running out to see him. The new scrapbook, and memories they could start making right now.
[ text ]: I don’t think I can do this anymore.
Eyes watering the goddess rubbed the tears away one more time before wrapping herself in his hoodie once more, trying to pick up the pieces, but each time the scent of Kok reached her nose she fell apart once more. Looking down at the last text message Ophelia couldn’t handle seeing it anymore and threw it across the room against the wall before seeing hearing it shatter and running to pick it up and fix it once more while whispering “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you…I’ll keep you safe this time, I’ll keep you safe.” Rocking back and forth, she looked at the last message she sent him, still unread and his radiant red clothes nowhere to be seen anywhere on campus.
[sms: my person] Please
Long & Lost & Loving
Moving past the crowd gathering around the warmth of the fire, the skimpy dressed goddess scurried to the darker part of the forest for some alone time and silence. It seemed even when she was trying to have a good time, everyone had something to gossip about when it came to her. It didn’t matter to her, she was enjoying herself and loving her costume. Although, she wished a certain person was here to enjoy the night with her. He would have loved her costume.
Taking careful steps, her eyes tried to adjust to the new found darkness without a flicker of light to lead her forward. When her vision slightly focused, she saw a dark figure sitting on the ground rocking back and forth. Taken aback, she bites her lips trying to decide if she should go further when the phantom like creature begins speaking to himself. That voice sounded so familiar, it almost brought a tear to her eye at the memory of her friend who up and disappeared from campus one day without even a goodbye.
It was impossible. He went back, and he wasn’t coming back. People who left Ever After High without graduating didn’t do it on their own free will. Her mind flashed to Kok’s mother whom he spoke of vaguely and frequently during their meet ups. Mothers around here seemed to be the true pain of fairytales, not that she couldn’t relate. When was the last time someone left and came back? A certain dark fairy crossed her mind, his eyes stormy and his heart turned cold and detached that he would separate himself from his beloved blondie. Before she could worry that Kok met the same fate the voice cried out her name and she knew it for sure.
Kok wasn’t himself.
Running to his side, she shook him roughly trying to pull him from his trance before finding that something about her touch shocked her skin. Eyes glowing pink, she caught the gaze of her friend and could hear voices. Shrill and cruel, harassing her person...her person whom she promised to protect for so long. Speaking within the other’s self conscious, and seemingly keeping her friend in a trance her voice carried through the hollows where the demons hid.
“This person is under my protection, if you dare torment him in my presence...I will show you what true evil is.”
In a moment a shock of pink lightning went through Reed’s mind and could hear whimpers of the monsters as her pulse was sent through. Only Ophelia knew of this ability that even her mother never knew was possible, taking a bit of her mother and father and created an ability that until recently the goddess didn’t even dare explore. But this was Kok, since she couldn’t protect him while he was away...she would protect him now.
“Be gone, you are in the presence of a goddess.”
Her eyes finally returned to a dark shade of brown before smiling at her friend, “I’m so glad you’re back. I missed you so much!” She hugged him tightly, although his eyes no longer felt like him. Holding him tightly always felt familiar to her.
“I’m sorry I could not protect you. I will be your strength from now on.”
"I need to ask you something." ( 2 questions )
The Difficult Questions: Accepting !
19. What is your favourite season? Why?
- “I guess my favorite season would be spring. I love how the weather isn’t too cold or too hot. I love seeing the snow melt away in the sunlight and how the flowers begin to bloom and new life sprouts up. It’s really cliche but spring reminds me so much of the rainbow after the rain and it’s a form of reassurance for myself, I guess, that with every ending is a new beginning.”
22. What is one thing you cannot stand in a person?
- “Definitely, lying and cheating. I just don’t get why people resort to that.”

the trails are quiet, almost too quiet, and the serenity of it all is enough to baffle anyone. perhaps if selene wasn’t with a certain crims at the moment, she’d probably be just in awe at how beautiful nature was. the forest around her own childhood home was plenty beautiful and thriving with life (although that very aforementioned life lived in fear), so being surrounded with nature again sent a pang of homesickness through her.
selene huffs, pulling at the strap of her backpack as she trails slightly behind reed. she’s so enraptured by it everything around her that she doesn’t really feel herself irritated or annoyed (like usual) at reed’s presence. except, nature can’t erase all the animosity that lingers in the air between the two.
“crims, shut up for a minute so i can enjoy the scenery.”

Reed is that one in not a million friends of Nami that she really trusts, oddly despite their clashing personalities. He’s a really good friend, and the thought of him makes her relax whenever-- or not, it depends.
Either way, when Reed says that he’s got something to show her, she couldn’t help feeling excited. Even if he’s the son of the Red Queen, he is nowhere near sadistic. So, there she is sitting in Indian style on her cabin porch, her bag ready with stolen food and her hair tied up into a bun (courtesy to her cabin mates)
And she waits and waits, she’s good at waiting.
