[text: ophelia from unknown number] bye - kay
“Kay~” Ophelia sing-songed while looking around his room, before frowning upon finding his side completely empty. It must be a practical joke, or maybe he moved somewhere else. Before she could go on a ice-boy hunt, her phone went off and her eyes found a single word signed off by the one person at the school who knew what it was like, how it hurt, who was truly heartbroken and why she was so tough around the edges.
“Fuck.” Ophelia muttered, her eyes squinting before closing them suddenly. She wasn’t going to cry like a lil bitch, that was Kay. He left with a single goodbye, did he think he was cool? Did he think that being nonchalant was more like the character he built up for himself all these years.
“Fuck you!” Her voice was raising and with the door wide open, and people staring as they walked by. The weight of the stares, of their words, of their judgment she had to carry on her own from now on and she had no longer had anyone to share the burden with. He finally melted away, yet he left her to drown.
“FUCK YOU, KAY!” So shrill, she could have shattered the windows if she wasn’t careful. Her heart felt like it was ripped out from inside of her chest, still pumping and bright red. She was immortal but in that moment she wished she was dead for the pain was unbearable. That heartbreaker finally broke the homewrecker’s heart.
Knowing full well he wouldn’t receive it, it was probably from a burner phone or something of the like. That ice-dick wasn’t going to get the last word, not on the goddess’s watch. Barely looking, she sent the message and deleted the conversation. Just like how Kay had deleted her from his life.
[sms to: Unknown] Fuck off
