Simone x Eleanor University AU
Thank you!
Send me an AU and I’ll give you 5+ headcanons.
1. They met because Simone was Eleanor’s tutor in intro to psychology (a class she only took for the easy A).
2. Simone edits Eleanor’s papers and secretly enjoys all the double entendres she slipped in there. It kind of bums her out that she has to remove them.
3. Although Simone is very book smart, it’s Eleanor who grasps the practical application sooner, which is how they got together.
4. They’d been studying together for a couple months when Eleanor makes a move. Normally she’d just go for it without hesitation, but something about Simone made her wait so she doesn’t end up hurting her. They were going over nonverbal communication and body language, and of course, Simone could recite verbatim every flirtation cue, but it’s Eleanor who read them and leaned across the library table to kiss her.
5. It takes Simone a little bit to get used to having a girlfriend (just because she’d never thought of herself as bi before), but she keeps it to herself because she doesn’t want to hurt Eleanor.
6. During finals, Eleanor mainlines coffee constantly to cram all the material she hadn’t learned the entire semester (Simone only tutors her in psychology) and kicks the empty coffee cups under her bed. Once Simone found them, she limited Eleanor to 3 cups a day and gave her a very thorough lecture on the damaging effects of excessive amounts of caffeine.
7. When Simone declares a neurobiology major, Eleanor won’t stop asking if she can give her a brain scan.
8. (Eventually, Simone relents, and prints Eleanor the results for posterity).
9. Eleanor declares a marketing major because it involves her two favorite things: 1. making money, and 2. convincing people she’s right. At least, that’s what she tells Simone. Actually, she’s been responsible for her own finances since she was 14 and had to legally emancipate herself from her parents, so she learned from the school of hard knocks. And she’s always been persuasive, when she cared enough to try.
10. Before she met Simone, Eleanor only did enough in school to get by. She didn’t see the point in learning about stuff that had no practical value. But seeing the way Simone lit up when she talked about her nerdy brain research inspired her to try a little bit harder in school, and she graduated with a solid 3 GPA.
