there are two gifts in hand, one wrapped neatly with a blue bow while an envelope is clasped between his fingers. the box holds twin all might plushies while the envelope has a bit of yen in it, not so much as to send midoriya into shock but enough to splurge. ❛ midoriya ? happy birthday. i'd like to celebrate more soon, but for now, here you are. ❜

izuku blinks, mouth hanging a bit open, but at this point, he can’t be surprised at the sight of the presents. part of izuku wants to cover his face in shame for even thinking that, because that sounds so callous and ungrateful —- but izuku’s been constantly surprised by presents all day and … at this point, izuku has resigned himself to his fate. in the most grateful, appreciative way possible!

but yet … ❝ iida - kun … you didn’t need to get me anything. really – i never cared much for my birthday… ❞  he murmurs, but his words aren’t said disparagingly or disapprovingly. if anything, izuku says it out of embarrassment — from the presents, from the attention, from his friend having to get him a gift. it’s … just not what izuku is used to, but at the same time … izuku understands the sentiment behind it, the meaning — and he doesn’t dare think of declining it. he knows better than that. these are iida’s feelings — and izuku would much rather handle another three days of tiger’s training camp than reject them. ❝ but … thank you. really! i … i’m really grateful. ❞   izuku says, softly, accepting the gifts and ears turning a bit red when he sees the all might plushies (’guess i’m kind of predictable, huh?’ he mumbles, sheepish, but he holds the plushies close to him anyway, not daring to let them go).

       beneath the neutral expression on your features, you're trying your best to assess the situation  &&  see if anything can really be done about the reckless damage you've done  (  to the concrete as well as both of your grades for this assignment  ). pursing your lips slightly you allow a hint of regret to filter through your expression, still staring at jagged  &&  frosted cracks in the ground. melting the ice would only do further damage.

Character in general: I MEAN I ANSWERED THIS BIT WITH THEUS’S URL, I LOVE TENYA TO BI TS, im not gonna go too much into it to avoid being repetitive but u literally are the whole reason i care about iida so much dfobngugHow they play them: your iida is so important to me, ruri. you understand him so well and he seems to just…come so naturally to you! i mean i kinda expected this before because you always put so much effort into your muses, and i can really tell how much you love each and every one of them (i mean...look at how hanzo was) but every time i think youll do well, the amount of effort you put in slaps me across the face and calls me a bitch for underestimating you fdkjsbnuigfThe Mun: RURI YOU KNOOOOOOW I LOVE U TO DEATH youre legitimately my best friend, i can pour my heart out to you and i know youll always understand. youve got the patience of a SAINT and its really incredible, and im so so so glad to be friends with you honestly. i honestly could go on forever abt this because youve really done so much for me just by being here and talking to me aaaAAAA

So I already ranted about this a while ago  but Izuku and Tenya are…insanely good for each other. They’re each other’s voice of reason AND driving force. The very definition of what a friendly rivalry should be. Strategy wise, they’d be completely in sync.

Quirk wise, unfortunately, is where the trouble lies. A team can only move as fast as it’s slowest member. So Tenya would have to go at Izuku’s pace, or carry him which comes with it’s own set of limitations. And, Tenya’s fighting style is very close range while Izuku’s is long range which could result in Tenya getting stuck in Izuku’s crossfire.

Still, they’re both diligent enough that I can see them working out a system of signals so that they can avoid such an occurrence and work out a style where Izuku attacks in between when Tenya would be close to the enemy; which would subsequently provide Tenya with cover.
