Earth 18: Home of the Justice Riders, consisting of several western heroes, including Strongbow, Bat-Lash, El Diablo, Madame .44, Johnny Thunder, and Cinnamon
After the JUSTICE RIDERS thwarted the plans of MAXWELL LORD, and saved WALLY WEST from his bounty, GUY GARDNER pressed westward, alone. One lonely desert night was broken up by what seemed to be the wrath of heaven. A demon of white with red eyes crashed into the desert in front of him. He said his name was LOBO and he was on the trail of SOMETHING that didn't belong here any more than he did.

This AU is an amalgam of the comic Justice Riders (1997) writer Chuck Dixon, artist J.H. Williams III, and the piece I did last August for G'nort month.
Personally I thought that Guy got the short end of the stick design wise out of the Justice Riders characters so I sought to remedy that. His vest now resembles his Green Lantern uniform while his pants and boots bring to mind his yellow ring days. His gloves are a tan leather so that they show the stains of gunpowder and/or oil from when he uses his pistols, a reminder of the things he's done.
With Lobo's look, I took inspiration from Lord Bowler's look in The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (1993). The black duster jacket makes for an imposing silhouette. Lobo's gloves are black and show no stains reflecting how he pays no mind to the lives he takes to make his living. His gun is white, clean and clear like his conscience.
