Ninjago Duskfall Trailer Spoilers Ahead !
> watch the (NEW) Ninjago : Duskfall trailer here <
the elemental void: the part of you that feels like a missing limb
fire void (no planets in aries, leo, or sagittarius) you are a person who moves through the world waiting for a spark that never quite seems to arrive on its own. because your internal engine is a bit quiet you find yourself obsessively drawn to the loud the reckless and the ones who have the nerve to start a fire just to feel the heat. you follow the pioneers and you marry the firecrackers because they possess the immediate honest reflex that you think you lack. you feel a heavy weight of hesitation in your bones as if you need a permission slip from the universe just to take a step. you find your power only when you realize that you don't need a leader and that your own quiet persistence is a flame that can burn just as bright as any explosion.
earth void (no planets in taurus, virgo, or capricorn) you float through reality like a guest who forgot where they left their shoes. the physical world with its bills its chores and its relentless schedules feels like a foreign language that you are still trying to translate. you attract the rocks the anchors and the providers because you are terrified of the ground disappearing beneath your feet. you crave stability but you find the routine of being human to be incredibly boring and heavy. you might get lost in your own head for days forgetting to eat or pay attention to the space you inhabit. you find your grounding when you realize that being present in your own body is a form of spiritual rebellion and that you are the only one who can actually build the house you want to live in.
air void (no planets in gemini, libra, or aquarius) you feel the world and you do the work but you struggle to step back and see the logic behind the noise. you are a person of deep instinct and heavy action who finds the group chat and the intellectual debates to be completely exhausting. you draw in the talkers the theorists and the geniuses because they give words to the things you can only sense in your gut. you might feel like you are being misunderstood because you don't have the patience to explain your process to a crowd. you spend your life acting before you think and you find your clarity only when you realize that your silence isn't a lack of intelligence but a way of knowing the truth that exists beyond the dictionary.
water void (no planets in cancer, scorpio, or pisces) your emotional landscape looks like a desert that hasn't seen rain in decades. you are incredibly capable logical and steady but the messy human feelings of everyone else make your skin crawl. you attract the empaths the healers and the dreamers because they are the only ones who can hear the quiet breaking inside your chest that you refuse to name. you spend your life acting like a solid object just to avoid the pain of dissolving into someone else’s drama. you might feel a sudden and terrifying wave of sadness that comes out of nowhere because you’ve been ignoring your own tides for too long. you find your spirit only when you finally admit that being vulnerable isn't a death sentence and that you are allowed to feel the weight of the world without having to fix it.
Dune Stalker

[The AD&D Fiend Folio has two monsters, the dune stalker and the phantom stalker, that serve as Earth and Fire counterparts to the Monster Manual's invisible stalker. Why there isn't a water equivalent, I am not sure. Maybe there was one that was cut during development, or the authors considered the water weird to fill that niche. I've already done my take on the phantom stalker a long time ago with the scorching hunter, but never got around to the dune stalker. Until now. All three D&D versions of the dune stalker have a save or die effect, which is probably why it hasn't gotten an update since the 3.0 Monster Manual II. I've "softened" it to merely doing more hp damage than usual for its CR, stretched out over a few rounds in order to maximize tension while also increasing the likelihood for a character to get saved.
Speaking of maximizing tension, I've been unemployed for a year and my writing is my main source of income. Help save me by donating at the Creature Codex Patreon here]
Dune Stalker CR 9 NE Outsider (elemental) This hulking humanoid creature has a large, roughly triangular head with a leering face, broad shoulders and a narrow waist. Its skin is a rusty red hue and sandy texture. Its arms are long and muscular, the bony clawed fingers nearly touching the ground.
Dune stalkers are malevolent creatures of Earth that are consummate trackers and masters of sonic vibrations. Their own name for themselves is “katalofon”. They despise cold and moisture, and often dwell in areas where elemental earth and fire overlap. Katalofons are favored by Ayrzul and are used by the Fossilized King as spies and assassins, roaming far from the Blistering Labyrinth to collect intelligence and strike down his enemies. Their skill at tracking is such that mortal spellcasters often summon them to hunt down their own enemies. Dune stalkers resent being summoned and are uncommunicative around mortals, leading to rumors that they cannot speak.
Given their skill at tracking, a dune stalker will often follow a party at a distance for hours or days, spying on them in order to learn about their strengths and weaknesses. They attack from ambush, using their skill at climbing and leaping to set up in an inaccessible spot. From their ambuscade, they fire bolts of sonic energy from their mouths. When opponents close the gap into melee, or if they try to flee, the katalofon gets close, grabbing their target and pressing their faces together in what’s called the “kiss of death”. The kiss of death is lethal sonic vibrations that reverberate through a victim’s hard tissues, killing them by shattering their skeletons. After setting up one kiss of death, a dune stalker will often drop the suffering victim and attempt to give a kiss of death to another enemy. If summoned to perform a task, or if working for the will of Ayrzul, dune stalkers fight to the death. If engaged in cruelty for their own amusement, they flee when badly injured.
Dune stalkers stand between six and seven feet tall fully upright, but find stooped postures more comfortable.
Master of Mountain | Ep. 30
Wu is hilarious this episode—
Honestly he’s hilarious this whole season bc he IS SO ON EDGE?!
The entire time he following along with Cole’s crazy plans for escape and it’s giving, “GAWD DAMN, YOU GUYS LIVE LIKE THIS?!”
I can only imagine after all of Wu’s depression talk abt “not being needed anymore by the ninja” and “being too old for adventure” he’s finally involved in one (as an old man) and is just flash backing to all the other missions he’s sent the ninja on and thinking…is this how they’re saving the world…EVERY time?
These boys are truly just doing their gd best tbh pfft
Earth elemental mini for a commission. August 2024
Earth Elemental
Earth Elementals have the eternal strength of stone and the endurance of mountains. Primordially connected to the land they inhabit, they take a long-term view of things, scorning the impetuous haste of short-lived mortal creatures.
