small frogs eat beans
Beans beans
They’re good
For your heart
Put them in photos
And they become art
Eat beans before bed to sleep better!
It turns out, the more fiber in your diet the better you’ll sleep. According to the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, people who munch more high fiber foods – like beans - spend more time in the deep, restorative stages of sleep. And in the study, people eating more fiber cut the time it took to fall asleep in half. And it only took one day for the changes to take effect. So why does fiber help us sleep better? Because it takes longer to digest, so the nutrients are released more slowly into the bloodstream. And that helps the body have an easier time winding down at night.

Can we PLEASE stop referring our non-human animal brothers and sisters as "protein" already? They are living, feeling, loving beings who never deserved, nor asked, to be born into a "life" of slavery, exploitation, and death so you could enjoy 3 unconscious minutes of yours. The word "protein" has become a gross and overused euphemism for sad, dead flesh, that gives the illusion that consuming it is somehow nutritionally necessary. If you eat enough calories in a day, you're automatically fulfilling your protein needs (try beans, nuts, broccoli, quinoa, fruit, whatever, anything else!). It's not this illusive nutrient that's invisible unless it's cloaked in exploitation. It's abundant in plant foods. Go get some.
