Trying to focus on myself ✨
Not feeling too well today (probably ate too much junk food over the weekend). Eating better today, resting with the kitties, and checking out Pokémon Concierge (I saw a sleeping Psyduck plushie at Target a few days ago and can't stop thinking about his derpy face).
The show looks really cute and has some fun summer vibes to match the upcoming season
🏖🏊🌊
Edit; I know stop motion animation takes a LONG time to do and the series looks very detailed so it probably takes even longer.... but I wish there was more of this show. I actually cried with Haru over the shy Pikachu at the end 🥺 now I REALLY need a hug from Psyduck 🫂
I had blood work done yesterday, and the test results came back.
I shouldn't have looked.
I read I was overweight, and now I am thinking about everything in my life and what my day-to-day looks like.
I'm quite sad, that this has happened.
I know that I have had a hard time recently taking walks and exercising, but I also *WALK* every day at my job. But that obviously doesn't solve all of my problems.
And I had been working out the last couple of weeks!!! ...But then I fell off the bandwagon (because of vacation week...) and I have been running around all week doing different errands. etc.
And yes, lately, I have been lazy when it comes to cooking as well, and of course, I like comfort food, and grains and carbs...
And I am worried about what my new holistic doctor might tell me. Hopefully, she'll have words of encouragement and insight.
Recipes, Please?
Hey guys, I am in a bit of a slump right now, I am back to my beginning weight of around 295, and am miserable.
I need some help with yummy, still filling, but healthy recipes that you guys love. I just need some help getting back on track and I know a huge part of that is eating better again, and cooking for myself again.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Diet
Sharon: I’m going to eat better...like for real.
Brooke: Okay. How?
Sharon: No more soda.
Brooke: That’s a start. Beer, too?
Sharon: Whoa! Of course not!
Brooke: Okay...
40 days with no Coka-cola and virtually no soda at all. I give myself a free pass on the ginger ale and Sprite because of the cold I had to endure first half of January. Ironically the cold and its comeback performance helped me kickstart my water intake, as I needed to keep myself hydrated to move the shit outta my head and lungs.
I've been told it takes 90 days to make or break a habit.
Goal one is breaking the soda craving. Making it more an occasional treat than an every day thing. We're 40 days in.
Goal 2 is more water. We're well on the way. So far it's two bottles a day. (About 48 oz)
Goal 3 more vegetables less meat, and a whole lot of portion control. I am not focused on this goal yet, but I have started it. (Premade meals are gonna be my ace in the hole lol)
Goal 4 is exercise, and it will be a ways down the line. I am seeing more energy as a result of more water and less sugary drinks (currently kool aid is my break from water to keep my sanity). I do not, however, want to overwhelm myself with to many things at once and fail at all of them. So again, while I am moving more, this is farther down on the focus until I get a good handle on portion control.
I have to remember to take it slow. None of this will happen overnight, and slip ups do not mean the end.
I am so out of practice with cooking.
But time to recommit!
