I want to do a review for eatm, but I want it to be mostly positive, so Imma put the thing that bugs me the most in this post so I won't say it again in my review.

Ever since the start of season 2, I had expected that Ali and IRIS will be separated again, for the last time and for good. But initially I thought it would happen during/at the end of S2, but turns out it happens in the movie but that's okay because I CALLED IT.

BUT. BUT. I'm really disappointed with THAT was the only punishment Ali gets after everything he's done. "But!" you may say, "Ali in the end still defeats Niki and saves the day. MATA and Cyberraya is safe because of him!"

I agree that he saved MATA and Cyberraya and has the right to get a reward. But let's see, what are the things he's done that are harmful to MATA?

1.Neglecting the orders, this HAS BEEN happening since season 1 and HE STILL DOESN'T LEARN, and even sometimes he's defying it. In the movie when Alicia a.k.a the Neuro who should've been the one who creates plans for the mission, gives him order to chase after Abang Bear, he defies it and follows Niki instead just because of his personal feelings. I get it, he's still a child, a teen, and you just can't overlook teen's emotional ride, but that's just more reason to give Ali the punishment which I will talk more later.

2. Giving MATA's secret informations to outsiders. Not just any outsiders, but THE outsiders who have tried attacking the Major and purposely breaking the airplane so it'd crash to the city, would make a massive accident, and WOULD kill a lot of people. THAT IS A HUGE MISTAKE, ALI.

3. Although this is unintentionally, he gives azurium's powers to the people who wish for all Cyberraya's citizens misfortune.

Yes he defeats Niki, yes he saves Cyberraya for big misfortunes, YES HE DESERVES A REWARD, and yes I do understand that Ali is still just a naive kid who just feels lack of attentions and love because his mom is dead and his father is too busy and his mental health is definitely not in a good condition, WHICH MAKE ME CONVINCED MORE of what punishment that would fit him more than just "give us back the IRIS":

Remove Ali's rank in MATA. Don't give him any missions, any informations, let him be a normal citizen like he used to be. TEMPORARILY.

It would be the best punishment for him. He'd totally be sad, feel ignored, but I'm convinced it would be the best for him. HE INDIRECTLY SAID HE WANTED TO DIE IN THE MOVIE, boy's mental needs to rest, ALI BIN GHAZALI needs to rest, as in not involved in MATA for some time. Removing Ali's rank in MATA would be both punishment and gift for Ali from MATA.

I DO think returning IRIS is a good choice for punishment, but it isn't good enough. It wasn't well-balanced from the harmful things he's done to MATA.

That was my rant for this movie. DON'T WORRY THE NEXT ONE WILL BE MOSTLY POSITIVE OKAY 💕💕
