Hehehe!!! Here ya have 'em, Geno, Dust, and Reaper from my ec-4o.verse au!

I think this is the first like, actual ship art I've managed for them, and I really like it! Their mutual love language is touch/contact (Geno likes his personal space so it's an honor to be allowed into it, Dust literally lived alone in the wasteland for like 16 years so he's a lil touchstarved, and Reaper is just always clingy but him respecting their space is a big show of trust.) so that's why I drew them all piled together lol-

Geno's showing off his latest programming project to Dust (who mostly understands it) and Reaper (who doesn't understand but is extremely supportive).

And, of course, gotta mention @satsukidoodles404 , my wonderful co-creator for this au! I know I've definitely fallen off the train for it, but Satsuki was the one to open my eyes to this adorable ship, *and* inspired me to draw this doodle, actually! (I was looking at the Christmas doodles lol!)

Ramble about these guys under the cut because I love adding lore to posts!!!

Okay. First things first, it was HARD picking a reasonable amount of ocs/aus to include in this. I left out a few of my pet projects, but settle on (left to right) Phishbone, Pretender, Ichor, Ec-4o!Blue, Tulpa, and New Age!Nightmare in the end. The first 3 are ocs, the last 3 multiverse aus!

Phishbone is kinda just a weird outcode Papyrus. He's the multiverse's conflict resolver, because he'll stick people into his portable pocket dimension (the cube he carries) and make them complete puzzles until they've resolved their problems! He can use any soul trait magic too, just out of sheer luck from what he was taught in his au!

Pretender is a Sans from the au Doppletale, a horror-based au in which the Monsters are doppelganger of sorts, locked underground. In order to escape they have to Be Human, and in order to look human they have to eat human flesh. Pretender is one of the few monsters who has sworn off eating human meat, and he helps the last fallen human (K, from @/oodlesndoodles is usually my go-to human for the True Ending, but Ozzy from @/mylackofgrammeristerrifying is the other human-) His other humanoid form is my baby boy baby, but I can't draw humans like. Ever. So he stays like this!

Ichor is from Catacombtale, an au where the Monsters are Gods and descendants of gods, locked away by Mortals. Ichor (once known as Sans/Punishment) was a God of the afterlife with his brother (Reward/Papyrus) but he had his magic limited by mortals using golden chains. Now he goes by Ichor (or, Pun, to the Hero) and just tries to give any fallen mortals Hints on how to survive the trials of his fellow gods. (Sad old man, my longest-running oc in this cursed place <3)

Blue is from a multiverse story, Ec-4o.verse. It's dystopian, apocalyptic, sci-fi, and post-war, in which monster magic was spread out across the world. This grasp of magic made tech much more advanced, to the point of sentient robots (Ecto). A war broke out, Yadayada, Blue was born during the end of it and grew up in the aftermath. He loves technology and is obnoxiously good at his work, no matter how many people beat him up about it. With his brother and the weird hermit he moves in with (Dust) he can unintentionally unravel the mysteries of the war!

Tulpa is from DreamEater AU, another multiverse story. In this, Dream was injured in a retreat away from his brother, and ended up paralyzed and alone in another au. Fresh, unknowing of who Dream was, decided to swap hosts and use Dream. Ofc, when he bit into the golden apple, he basically got addicted. He sticks around and Dream often wrestles for control, until they come to an agreement that Fresh will move the body, Dream will speak and try to live his life. Over time, Fresh notices just how thinly worn Dream is and decides to give him a hand with starting to say no to people and take rest and think about himself for once. Eventually, the two are so close it's hard to tell where Dream starts and Fresh ends, hense the nickname of Tulpa for the two of them!

Nightmare, from New Age AU, is my newest but one of my favorites. It's a medieval-set au where he abd Dream are princes, set to inherent the throne. Dream will lead, Night his advisor. Only, the 0rophecy meant to lend Dream his power talks of death and sacrifice, so Night acts to stop Dream... by eating the apple that would give him powers instead. Unable to control the magic, Nightmare finds himself much older and much stronger than be was 2 seconds ago. He ends up having to rule like this, sending hid brother away lest sonething awful overcome him. And he's bettering the kingdom, hiring criminals. Until his apple magic... wears off. Leaving him at age 13, the year he was when he took the throne.

Anyways yeah they're all my favorites ever, hope this one is fun!!! (Feels good to put my sillies up on the space instead of N lol-)

Alright y'know what? I have 30 minutes which is too short to do my paper and too long to get into anything else so. Courtesy of @rendoa-blog (I almost @ ed you as Myeba head in hands) I am going to start a loose reworking of Ec-4o.Verse. when I run outta time is when I post it and return later w/ more reboots.

So! First plot point!

Blue and Rust. These two are mechanics. Blue specifically is a Techie, a person who works on magic-infused technology including the Ectos (Robots, usually Sentient). Before the story they've been working in the shop of Blue's mentor. They were both real young when the war ended and Blue's maybe 24 and Rust's 17 now. Society is at varying degrees of rebuilding/adjusting. (Monsters all have weird age scales so these ages don't really matter. Think Elf years.)

Start of the story, Blue and Rust are about to be kicked outta town. Blue was doing Ecto repairs and this little city did NOT like that. Ectos had destroyed their livelihoods, ofc they're not taking it lying down. Which means Blue needs a new place to set down shop. But... neighboring cities also shunned him when he admitted his work. In the meantime, Rust has a surprise. He's been fixing up an old junk truck! Which means they can, presumably, find somewhere less centralized and he can do transport for clients instead! Which is great. But. Where will they live and work if not in the city?

Queue Dust. He lives on an old abandoned government lot. Most of it is offices, a few warehouses, only 2 floors and a basement. Not much. But it's fenced off and isolated out in the desert wastes beyond the city. He's almost 50 (monster equivalent of like. Mentally 29-30) and he was a teenager during the rise of the war and the subsequent aftermath. He decided not long into it that he needed to hide and stay isolated. Shoot anything that comes on the property. (Smth smth Paranoia thanks to Phantom. Phantom is a holographic survival guide AI who was corrupted during the code rewriting at the start of the war and has not been rebooted.)

Well. Blue and Rust have no clue this place has an owner. They drive all the way out there and Blue knocks innocently. Just... checking out the place, maybe someone does live here...?

And then Dust answers the door. Pistol out of sight. He's ready, though. Blue explains the predicament. Dust tells him to screw off. Blue begins to promise his work on the ectos won't hurt anything, he just... maybe he can rent one of the warehouses to do his work and for them to live in- Dust cuts him off saying he doesn't care about some stupid robots. He cares that they get off his terf.

And. Well. Blue has met the first hostile person who's just a grouch and not a Ecto-hater. But still, he respects Dust's wishes.

Y'know who does not do that? Rust. Rust comes back the next day and bothers Dust about it again. He's a cocky 17 y/o who vapes and has electric swords tied to his hips for the swag of it. His brother is his everything, has done everything to make Rust's life better. He's not gonna let his brother give up his passion to keep him safe. So he tells all that to Dust and insists it's just the two of them. They just need that farthest warehouse, just half, and they'll pay Hella good rent. Or not bother him at all, if he prefers.

Dust is baffled by this cocky teem. He's a little pissed. But then again... Dust agrees to let them stay. To use the *closer* warehouse since it's more empty and still connects to the power grid. Doesn't even want any money, just tells them not to try and come into the 'complex', referring to the offices where he stays.

Rust is able to return triumphant to his brother and they move in by the next week.

A bit of a time skip. There's a moment where Dust has to save Blue and Rust from Abyss' Semi biker gang. I have this plotted out. He basically goes 'why do you think I upped my payment? They might not be my circumstances but they're my monkeys' and gets them off the hook. They're still staying in the warehouse atp.

Another scene, months later, it's winter and it's finally snowing. Dust realizes that the warehouse probably doesn't have heat and. In a moment of annoyance. Goes out to find the two idiots working on his property.

Both Blue and Rust are kinda winging it, still mid-project. Dust kinda spooks them because he's never out here?? But also he scolds them for not even having a heater on. Invites them to cone back to the offices when they're done. They can warm up in the lobby. Just ring the bell by the door when you come in.

He retreats before they can say anything. They do end up taking his offer and find old couches with a bunch of blankets in the old lobby space. There's also a heater for the building so it's nice and warm. (When they stay the night and Blue wakes up with a cold the next morning, Dust begrudgingly tells them to stay inside unless they're working. This does slowly evolve into Dust letting them stay inside full-time and giving them 'offices' to use as their bedrooms.)

Then a timeskip. Blue has been getting a few Ecto repair commissions, plenty of mechanic stuff between him and his brother. They're getting better with all of it!

Crazy turn-around on this ngl! I am in turmoil atm, but that means I decided to touch on a REALLY old concept sketch that wouldn't bother me if I didn't draw it well lol. For context, this is the original sketch I made for this idea like. A few years back 😭

For context, this is a scene from Ec-4o.verse, my beloved au I never talk about! Here, Blue (our mc, a robot mechanic) has ridden across the wastes on his (Dust's) cycle and attempted to collect scrap he desperately needs for his projects from an abandoned scrap heap. Or, well, maybe it isn't so abandoned after all... the bike definitely wasn't this damaged when he drove in. Dust's going to kick him out! Shit!

Horror (as seen in bottom right) has been living in this scrap heap for a few years. All alone, as of recently the last original inhabitant died. Now he lays claim to the space, and even Abyss' gang of semis refuses to touch the place. Blue, poor Blue, has no idea who he is about to meet.
