Eccc Saturday was a critter-ful delight. We stumbled into a gathering we didn't previously know about, then attended a second one later in the day. Both were full of kind, thoughtful, creative people 🔮🔥💖

(As a side note, I keep making friends with the most remarkable people while wearing Essek. I have to fancy him up more so I can impress them)

Emerald City Comic Con reflections

A bit of a personal post today because I was SO excited to cosplay as my interpretation of Tang Dynasty!Princess Leia 🥹 I’ve been dreaming about this design for ages and my friend was able to make it for me 💕💕💕

The hanfu is in the style of qixiong ruqun (basically a hanfu tied at chest level instead of at the waist) which was popular during (but not limited to) the Tang Dynasty in China.

This was my first big, comic con at scale, and it blew my mind away. Everyone was so positive and complimentary and wholesome, it just felt like such a safe space to express my inner nerdiness. The energy was incredible and being able to meet people from all over the country/world who had come together to celebrate shared interests was such a special experience.

Thank you to everyone I came across, friend and stranger alike, who had kind things to say about this cosplay. It made me so happy to see people in support of this cultural interpretation 💕

So grateful to have been able to share this weekend with @dark--whisperings and @stardustnsunshine as well!!!
