The Meaning Behind Ecclesiastes: Wisdom for Life

“Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning.”
~Ecclesiastes 11:7.
Ecclesiastes 1: 12-14 I the Preacher have been king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom all that is done under heaven. It is unhappy business that God has given to the children of the man to be busy with. I have seen everything that is done under the sun and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind. I started shouting after that last part! This verse is meant to make you think deeply. There is a belief going around that none of this is real and none of this ( earth) means anything and it's all an illusion.... Because when it's all said and done we strive, we work, we accumulate, we experience ups and downs, hurts, pains, pleasure and love and then in like a blink of an eye it's over and we die..taking nothing tangible with us. So then we have to ask ourselves, well why are we even here? This understanding let's you know it's not really about the earth or the tangible, it's truly about your soul. So in the same instance that nothing matters...all matters. It all is real, it all matters because it serves a purpose. Your not here for nothing. So when it comes down to the wire ..what that soul looking like? #anntheprophetessdivine #ecclesiates #childofgod #prophetess 🙏🏾🌟I am Ann The Prophetess The Divine Child of God. Friends and Fools
1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. 2 A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion. 3 When wickedness comes, contempt comes also, and with dishonor comes disgrace. 4 The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. 5 It is not good to be partial to the…

Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?
Ecclesiastes 3:9-21 (NIV)
Pleasure does not end well
Pleasure does not end well
I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. (Ecclesiastes 2:10)
Imagine the Teacher from Ecclesiastes living in the 21st century. The pleasure! The fun! The comtemporary ammenities! The immense entertainment industry in all its forms! Beyond doubt he would miss all that when time-travelling back to Antiquity. Right?
Hardly. Pleasure is, after all, an umbrella…
