i have complicated feelings regarding the show's cancellation because 1. i disliked it so much and in my pov it had to die

but 2. the series had a second chance and they ruined it again and again and i'm so frustrated about this. this show could have been way, way better if they just put some actual effort and thought. the books were almost perfectly written but jul*e just had to get her hands on and ruin vampire academy's last chance. i'm so, so mad that we will %99 never be able to see a vampire academy adaptation again.

i think it is quite telling that how the fires in australia was trending for months and everyone around the world was screaming about how terrifying it is that climate change affects us. over 670 different (400 of them in greece, to be specific) places had been burned in turkey and greece for these last weeks because of the extreme heatwaves and there are so little information about it going around, let alone trending or whatsoever. thousands of people in both countries had been left homeless, they had been evacuated, and there are over 100 villages completely destroyed, several people gone and still many people in the hospitals under care.

this above, is a great map example of how the extreme heat changes are causing wildfires, because the entire agean sea is on fire as we speak. turkey is around 48°C, and greece 46°C, with the approximate ground being 53°C. these fires are not in only forests, but they are in the city centres too. antalya and almost every district of muğla had been burnt to ground, and it keeps spreading to new districts, with athens, the capital city of greece facing extreme difficulties because the fires had reached there at last and evia island is almost literally destroyed. these cities are only some of the worst affected ones of many. people are devastated and desperate, our animals are suffering, and more of them are dying each day. but it also does not help that our governments don't give a shit or they don't try to stop the fires at all, mostly because it will mean that they can build more hotels to the burned ground, for of course, beach tourism purposes, because our lives and ecosystem mean nothing to them. there are some of the fires happening man made, but with the extreme heat, they keep spreading in a horrifying speed.

these photos i am putting below, are from istanbul and izmir. none of those two cities had experienced any kind of fires in these last week, but the entirety of the cities skies had been painted with these colours and even at almost 40°C, the sun is almost invisable because of the fire waves coming from greece causing an "ash rain". this is just the beginning of the end because every year the heat keeps getting worse and worse, meaning that the wildfires become more and more dangerous each year. if it keeps going this way, next year will be much, much harder for us to stop the fires and more lives will be gone. this is no joke.

i really hate to be doing this but my country had been fighting with horrible forest fires for almost 8 days now and there is so little done to stop it. south coast of the turkey (mainly turkish riviera, the core touristic places of summer holidays in turkey, and they are the #1 source for our local economy) is quite literally under fire, many of us civils and animals had lost their lives, and over 3k+ buildings are destroyed, people are homeless. (here, you can watch the sky news journalist in bodrum, from a few days ago but the stuation continues the same. not only forests but it had been in the city center for days now, 60 villages had been destroyed and now the modern apartments etc. too, 560,000 hectares in total.)

so what does our government do? nothing. our people had been fighting with the fires all by themselves because the government left them to die, to their own fate. erd*gan refuses to use our firefighter planes because they are somehow, "old", even though thats a complete lie. morever, the governors refuse to help the towns affected by this horror, just because the said districts are with oppositent mayors (therefore oppositent municipalities, the cities that did not vote for erdogan and his party). also the government benefits from the burned forests by building touristic hotels there, because all the areas affected there are mainly beach holiday destinations. i dont want to put dead burned animals photos here so feel free to google, but our animals are dying and our people are just had been fighting on their own, without any equipment.

all of the people in these photos are civils, yes, even the men who are fighting with the fire below. and below them, them are civil people getting water from the sea to use them against the fires, because even the local fire fighters are refusing to co-operate and send air support (the helicopters and basic firefighter planes.)

PLEASE, please raise awareness about whats happening in turkey, a quick search on the news would tell you about the humanity crisis going on here. dont turn a blind eye to whats happening here.

i'll probably be the 1382th person to say this on tumblr, but if your stop asian hate sentiment only includes eastern asians (chinese, japanese, korean), it does not mean anything at all -of course, not that it's wrong to call out the blatant racism on eastern easians- asia is such a diverse continent where even the skin tone can vary in the people from the same race, or even family and it is completely disrespectful to put all the asian people under one single umbrella.

not all asians do have fair skin, monolid or a very short height, and not having any of these so called asian features does not make one less asian or not being from eastern asia does not mean they are less of an asian person or exotic, different and whatsoever.

if your sentiment does not include south& southeast asians (desi people, nepalese, sri lankans, indonesians, thai, vietnamese, filipino and many that i am forgetting right now), islanders, central asians (turkic, mongolian, nomads, afghan, tajik) west asians (crimean tatar, turkish) you need to sit down and think more about who your activism is for and what does asian stand for.

if your activism is because of your love for kpop, animes and stems from many of the fetishazitions that are asian people are soft, short heighted people who need your protection, you are a part of the problem.

if your activism does not consist respecting the asian cultures, food, dresses, and people with many unique names and traditions, it does not mean anything at all.

IF YOU ACTIVISIM DOES NOT INCLUDE xinjang, uyghur people who are suffering and being killed, acknowledge that asian communities and nations can opress other asian nations too, and think about your double standards.

turkish women and lgbtis yesterday, in istanbul, were gathered together to protest the government's completely illegally -without any lawful basis- withdrew from istanbul convention. the withdrew was announced in march 19, but the process was completed just yesterday.

istanbul convention was signed in istanbul with many other european countries, put by and encouraged by the same government that withdrew from it. it was a convention that aimed to protect women and lgbti people from every and any kind of violence.

every day in turkey, women are being killed by their partners, families, ex husbands, facing with the horror that's built in the core of the society. 189 women (only for the first six month of 2021) had lost their lives to those horrible femicides, numerous trans women and homosexual people faced unspeakable voilence. women are in danger more than ever right now, and the only law-likely basis in the turkey about protecting lgbti people was taken off.
