I’m going to try and do all five of the dragons but please don’t be disappointed if I portray them a bit wrong since I do not have that much information about them (also reader is a cookie). Also please check out the previous post about the courting of dragons
Also, I’m going to go for what the drill is feeling and doing as for the reader do you have absolutely no idea their dragon “friend” is counting them till way too late
Pitaya Dragon
They noticed you were strong and when they fought you once even they could barely keep up… so they became your “friend” to see if they could find other interesting things about you… during the platonic phase you will be dragged into fights with them everywhere they want to go… and you actually kept up with them… and you became quite close they must admit they quite enjoys your company…
They lets you use their sword for a fight as a first courting gift… and must admit they enjoyed you were shocked at their decision but so happy as you asked them about it… as for other courting behaviour they mostly wants to show off their strength by bringing you the biggest pray they can find as well as protecting you… believe me if you say someone annoyed you that cookie is digesting gone the next day…
They really enjoys how close you have gotten with snapdragon cookie it really shows them you would be a great mate since their hatchling likes you so much… they do wonder how your own hatchlings will look like because they knows they would be strong having them and you as the parents… you truly are the one…
After they finally “proposes” they kneel down to offer their sword to them, this is pretty much confessing without words “ You are the only one I bow to” you look a bit shocked as you gently took the sword looking at them a bit confused when they rose up and wrapped their arms around you… they bit you..
The bite was deep and hard in the nape of your neck… jam running down as they bit into your flesh… you were completely shocked You couldn’t even move…. By the way they was doing it was not how they handled pray it was almost gentle with how happy they were… they smiled when they pulled away and called you mate… oh you completely misunderstood your entire relationship…
Ananas Dragon
Ananas notice you on their island talking and being friendly with the tribes there especially Mango cookie (which is like an adopted son for Ananas Dragon)… and they must admit you were quite appealing to the eye as well…. Very respectful…. Strong… let’s see if you are worthy of being with them…. Which starts the platonic phase, they are a bit distant as they try to get to know more about you… such a fascinating cookie there were sure they would get bored after a few months… but they didn’t … that unsettles even them…
When they finally decided that you are a worthy mate They did spend a lot of time trying to think of the best possible courting gift for their future mate… believe me they had went through their entire horde and treasury twice over and they didn’t think anything was worthy (they was so disappointed in themselves for that)… but they settled on the most precious fruits in their entire island ,so rare, even other dragons have never tasted it this is pretty much saying “ I provide abundance. I choose you to receive it.” and was quite pleased how grateful you accepted it and how much you enjoyed the sweet taste.
For a courtship behaviour… they has pretty much renovated your entire house and their own to the pinnacle of luxury, their mate deserves only the best what kind of partner would they be if they didn’t provide only the best… but you better not have anyone else in your heart, darling they really do not take well to rivals especially for their precious treasure…
During the final proposal they chose to give you a crown. It was similar to his own horns and pineapple/ananas aesthetic made of the most precious gold and jewels earthbread had to offer as they kneel down, to them that is pretty much just says “stand beside me as we rule together”… you did seem surprised by their gesture but they just interpreted as awe and was very pleased when you took the crown gently and put it on your head.. their dear really looks beautiful when they look like they belong to them
When they stood up the smile on their face was the brightest smugest you have ever seen… as they got closer to you, they bit your neck… jam was spilling from it and you were too shocked to fight it but the look on their face and the gentle way they were looking at you did tell you they didn’t mean to harm you… but you were going to be in quite a shock you 2 are married now
Lotus Dragon
They got interested in you as you wean hearing about you from their closest servants…you were quite a cookie they’ll give you that getting so many of the ones closest to them to practically sing you praise…so they wanted to see and get to know you for themself… and they must admit they were not the least bit disappointed…so they really hopes you share their feelings…After all they have already started catching feelings… you would not let a dragon lonely right ~?
Wean they decided they truly wanted to be with you they knew exactly what their courting gift for their beloved future mate would be… one of their petals… it should really be obvious what they meant by it (we still clueless though) when they gently took it and showed it before you it was them saying “ I am giving you a piece of my essence.” The fact you were handling it like it was a precious treasure. It really made them think you understood what has happened….
As for courting behaviour they makes sure to bring the most delicious food and make your “nest” the most beautiful comfortable place in all of earthbread…so sweet and gentle… but do not be fooled even though they are nicer than other dragons, any rivals will be dealt with… just more merciful (kill them very quickly after all they deserved it) there is only so much they can tolerate… but taking their dear is not one of them
For the proposal…they kneel down and offers you their instrument their dear Mandolin this is pretty much saying without words “Let me share my soul with you” they were quietly waiting what you are going to do… when you gently took it slightly confused…they really weee happy you accepted them so they stood up and got close to you their teeth on your neck you would never have expected they would do something like biting you…
As you felt their teeth inside you your jam started to spill but the gentle almost intimate way they was handling you… made you pause and let it happen still confused… and you were even more confused when they called you their mate…oh sweet thing you are really so clueless
Lychee Dragon
They were in disguise the first time they met you…you were so intriguing…so beautiful…so strong…so loved by so many people just being yourself…they must admit they never thought they would one day be jealous of a cookie but here we are…they started the platonic phase without thinking about it… but their glad they did…they never expected to actually enjoy being around you so much…
For the courting gift it was something risky…she took off the disguise she has been wearing all this time (in mortal form)… they wanted to see if you would leave them, because to them is saying “ I trust you with my true self”…and you were shocked but you didn’t reject them… they swears they fell in love with you again
Courting behaviour mostly includes them giving you more gifts then you can carry, taking you fun places, …making sure any rival for your love has gone missing before any of them ever becomes competition…they are not letting anyone take their Mate from them
The proposal is them going in their true Dragon form…they wants to let you know “ now you belong in my reality”… and you didn’t reject them… you were even so happy they trusted you with something so personal that they didn’t show anyone else…so wean they got back in cookie form grabbing you… you were shocked..,
They bit your neck hard with the happiness and enthusiasm of a child in a candy store…your Jem spilled down and you didn’t dare move…and wean they pulled away they were happier then you have ever seen them…but a very awkward conversation is coming
Longan Dragon (fun fact he’s my fav)
The ivory dragon actually met you because of an incident…their hatchling Dragon Eye Cookie had gone missing somehow when the Ivory dragon was taken care of their duties and their plans not having time to focus their attention on the hatchling they truly thought knew better… so you can imagine their surprise when a cookie creatures dared to step into their palace holding their hatchling to bring the hatchling back…Longan almost wanted to attack them… but also it would be dishonourable to not thank someone for taking care and bringing back their offspring…
The platonic phase started pretty cold… you were quite an interesting cookie… beautiful…strong…intelligent… and they’re hatching clearly liked you which ment you would be quite good at taking care of any future hatchling… but you must prove worthy of standing by their side… and surprising even them… you were…
Even they did not know they would actually consider giving a mortal a courting gift… what they chose Was knowledge… ancient knowledge of the dragons and to the Ivory dragon themself this was like acknowledgement, like saying “You are worthy of understanding me” and they did enjoy the fact how eager you were to learn about them with such interest…good their Mate should value them and what they give
As for courting behaviour you will literally lack for nothing anymore it would be shame for them to let their mate lack anything under them (honestly they would probably just move you into their nest)… and threats against you ? Removed permanently both your enemies and love rivals are probably currently being digested…probably also trying to include you in their plans to bring back the age of the Dragons
For the proposal Longan doesn’t fall in love… they decide you are theirs permanently…you are their Mate and off course they are proposing the draconic way…by giving you a dragon scale from their true body which to them is saying “You are now part of my existence” of course you accepted it they had no doubt about it…but the way you are looking at it with such awe does stroke their ego
As the ivory dragon got close to you wrapping their arms around your body…their breath on your neck as they bit down Marking you…your Jam spilled your breath caught in your throat as they pulled away still holding you and said “Come my Mate, we have much to do”
