It’s not, he’s being unreasonable across the board and hiding behind the autism card, it seems. I mean, I’m autistic too, I often misinterpret tone myself. But when you’re at the point of knowing you have issues with tone in text, and you want to preach about giving people the benefit of the doubt? Give everyone the benefit of the doubt yourself. 

I gave him the benefit of the doubt in my reply. But apparently, this is still harassment because I’m Christian and didn’t click the link that passes for his bio (because I’ve been on the internet long enough to know not to click random links in bios) and thus didn’t take the time to read his very extensive DNI list.

Hey Doc, I wanted to reach out and thank you for everything you’ve written about euthanasia and pain management in dogs. I recently had to put my first dog to sleep, the one who was 11.5 and I’d had since I was 15. She was diagnosed with bladder cancer in January and made it a good long while! When I was looking for how I’d /know/ when it was time and what to do when it was, I found a lot of things you’d written and they truly helped me feel at peace with the decision I made with my vet. ❤️❤️

I really like your point about Chaol going through the life upending experiences much later in life than Aedion or Aelin. The trauma the two of them went through really shapes who they are in life and Chaol has no frame of reference for that overall. His life has been comparatively simple, and it makes sense that he wouldn't be able to truly understand why Aelin is the way she is.

Thanks! I hadn’t really thought about it until I was reading about how Aelin and Aedion were concerned about how they might be judged by one another, and then the ease with which they are able to understand and not only forgive, but feel like there is no need to.

Compared with the way that Chaol reacts to Aelin… Chaol has gone through some shit, but it’s recent shit. And additionally, he hasn’t had the same amount of responsibility placed on his future. Aelin has the weight of the world on her shoulders nearly her entire life, while Aedion had expected to help her carry that burden. Where as Chaol, he was able to walk away from his responsibility as the son of a lord with relatively little repercussions.

I’m really interested to see how this plays out in the way that Chaol changes his attitude towards Aelin (because I’m assuming he will). I don’t necessarily want him to fall in line and agree with her all the time or completely understand her and the decisions she makes, but to understand on a more fundamental level the reasons why she acts the way she does? Which could be super interesting in ToG7, too!

tbh i’m so highly amused by the fact that, while the english version of despacito goes “this is how we do it down in puerto rico; i just wanna hear you screaming ‘ay bendito’” the spanish version goes “we’ll do it on a beach in puerto rico until the waves scream ‘ay bendito’”
