solar eclipse in aquarius— february 17th, 2026
i've noticed a lot of articles about the solar eclipse use a lot of repetitive, flowery language and make it way more confusing than it should be. i wanted to make this post to simplify things a bit!
we have our "ring of fire" solar eclipse on february 17th in aquarius.
solar eclipses are usually all about bringing in new beginnings. they coincide with the new moon, which is the moon phase where it's best to plant new seeds and think about change.
in two weeks, there will be a lunar eclipse on march 3rd in leo. this two week portal is known as an eclipse portal. these two weeks are crucial for abrupt change. you might notice some chaos and unstable energy, but overall, you should be noticing what is no longer serving you. what you should be ridding yourself of to make room for the new.
this is our first eclipse in the new leo-aquarius eclipse season. this is just a starting point for what is to come. think of it as this eclipse being the one to awaken your awareness, make you realize what it is exactly that needs to change, and then over the eclipse season you will make this change over time with experiences.
one thing to note as well is that this eclipse is happening in aquarius in a late degree of 28. this tells us that this will not be a sudden, new change that you would never have seen coming. this is something that has been on your mind for a while. something that you can no longer ignore if you want to grow into your highest self.
some aspects— the eclipse will be square uranus, so expect the already jumpy energy of the eclipse to be even more tense. there will be friction between who you are, and what you need to let go of to become who you're meant to be. expect uncertainty.
with uncertainty, comes faith. the eclipse is conjunct the north node in pisces, lending themes of your purpose and dreams. you are being asked to relinquish trust. to trust in the path unfolding, even if you have no idea where it leads. faith in uncertainty.
this eclipse is a major new timeline for most, as it also is the lunar new year in the year of the fire horse. pay attention especially if it is touching your sun, moon, or especially your ascendant!
