You ever read something that makes your stomach just feel awful? Like uneasy and you just go "oh shit".
But you are invested. It's a creeping feeling. Nothing that should be inherently scary. But everything feels slightly to the left. You get the feeling you know what's going on, what's happening. But the character you are following doesn't. The realization that nothing will be the same when truths are known. The air is so fragile. One hint of a truth could shatter their reality-or more accurately, their false one. That's the kind of horror I enjoy-where the words make you uneasy, but the silence is far more scary. A less literal tearing of the flesh, a tearing of the mind.
Anyway, I am enjoying Devotion Breaks Through the Land of Roots a lot :)
