Today, I'm making soup stock. I save all the trimmings from the meat that I use to make meals. I put it in baggies and freeze them until I get enough to make stock. This way, I don't waste food, and I get some delicious stock for soups and stews and whatever else I choose to make. I'm making a chicken stock and a beef stock today. I'll add vegetables and seasonings to give it flavor. Usually, I also save my ends and trimmings from the vegetables that I use in cooking so I can add them to the stock. Right now, I'm out of frozen vegetable trimmings so I'll add fresh veggies to my stock. I love doing this because it helps me not waste food. This way, I use almost every part of the meat and vegetables with which I cook. It's very economical and it tastes great!! I'll boil these in water for several hours, and the result will be a flavorful and delightful stock. I'm gonna use some of this stock to make a lovely soup this week. I love soup, but that's a rant for another day. 😁🤗😍
