Uhh SO i have this hot take actually not a hot take just a take.

So I think John Constantine should get a live action.

You might be wondering why did it come out of nowhere. Well-

I was watching- rewatching- The CW Flash. Season 1 and 2 are actually good *cough* except for Iris *cough* and the last few season just butcher character. Anyway this is not a rant about how CW butchered the show it is about how This guy.

He is Eddie Thawne in The Flash. Predecessor of Eobard Thawne. He deserved better than Iris. Who sacrificed himself for no reason coz reverse flash was still messing with flash apparently. THat-

I am not going to get into that. IT is just I wanna watch smth of John Constantine, hopefully a good live action series and not smth like THe FLash. I am not saying it's bad. It is genuinely good. It is the first media i watched of DC. and geniunely loved. Grant is really good as flash, and i really loved All the characters. Even Iris until she wasn't

okay! I promise this wasn't a rant for The flash and for how Eddie Thawne's actor Rick Cosnett should be casted for John Constantine if or when they make an Live Action for him.

Like guys at dc please, please. Make smth for others MORE for others. Like Black Canary. Or Zatana. I am not saying to stop making movies like batman or superman but just shift the focus a bit pls. For someone like me who can't read comics because i don't know where or haven't discovered the right site and because i got no money. All i have are movies and series. Which i want to see more off. because i have almost finished every series and movie and media I know. If You have smth, please lemme know. or if this paragraph of mine is wrong because of any reason lemme know. If any of my opinion is wrong (except that Rick should play John constantine) lemme know because i am not that well versed in DC. Coz i have been in this fandom for 6 months and i only so much. Actually i have been in this fandom for years but just got interested in DC since the past 6 months.

Iris is living the romance love triangle dream. She has her handsome childhood best friend Barry and her equally handsome new friend Eddie vying for her attention, hoping to be the man who sweeps her off her feet.

There is just one problem, however. Iris has just figured out the reason her relationships keep fizzling out is because she's a lesbian. And she's not ready to come out yet.

Oh she knows she'd be safe if she did, Barry and Eddie are both bi and they'd accept her as she is. But she's still working on accepting herself as she is. And having two pretty boys, both who'd be perfect for her if she weren't having personal epiphanies about her sexual and romantic preferences, pining for her is not making life easier.

But then. Again. They are both bi. And, sure, maybe it's a silly idea, but Iris wonders if maybe the best way to handle the situation is to set the boys up with each other. After all, Eddie does think Barry's got pretty eyes. And Barry got all flustered training in the gym with Eddie. Iris isn't quite sure how to go about pulling off this ingenious plan of hers, however, but maybe her new friend Kendra, who's escaping an unhappy romance of her own, might have a few ideas.

☔ for the teasing WIPs ask game?

☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

So two of my favourite characters in the entire Arrowverse are Eddie Thawne and Ronnie Raymond and the main reason I never really got past S1 of The Flash is because I witnessed the death of one and heard about the death of another - the latter particularly annoying like god forbid you recast or something, eh 🙄🙄? (no shade on Jax, btw, love him, he's great, but it's the principle of the thing) and I've always tended to just ignore it one way or another, either by averting S1's finale or having Eddie's powers kick in or whatever...

But one idea I had was 'what if Eddie and Ronnie were both pulled into the singularity but survived and ended up on Earth-3' - I've used this a few times as a landing spot because E2 has it's own problems and also despite not having seen any episodes with him (just clips) I am fond of Jay Garrick and like the idea of him as a mentor but the story was going to be from Ronnie's POV (because I've only done so once before in my OC longfic) and starts dramatically because yes, this is one of those where Eddie actually dies and later revives but at the start of the story he's dead, and Ronnie keeps hold of his body because he might not know this guy well but he deserves better than being just...left in the void.

And they're both saved by Jay Garrick but even when Eddie's blue flame powers kick in he's still comatose so the worry doesn't lessen but eventually he was gonna wake up and the story was going to be as much about their friendship as anything else, because I always thought that was an interesting 'could have been' and if Robbie Amell had been able to stick around for the second season presumably Eddie's death would've haunted him to like sure, he barely knew the man but the way in which it happened...that's not easy to deal with, and maybe he have even felt some guilt too, which he definitely would in this fic...

The spark for this fic just never really showed up even though I do like the idea of writing them as friends (so that idea might well show up at some point) especially because there's something of a time limit because unfortunately Ronnie's gonna be facing the same problem as Martin on E1 in that without someone to merge with he's gonna destabilise and die and I wasn't sure how that could be sorted unless they somehow find a match on E3 or try and get back to E1 but like...that's not easy, ripping holes into the multiverse is a very risky thing to do.

I'd like to write it, though. Maybe if I rewatch S1 (and finally break into S2) it'll happen but...who knows?

i absolutely love that Eddie calls Barry "bear" (Barr?? how is it spelt?)

like he definitely picked up from being around Joe and Iris while Barry was comatose but it shows that Eddie really really cared about and belonged in the West family (very much inclusive of Barry)

and while Barry was a little miffed about his presence, they did actually get along and had he not died, that would have continued. Especially cos Barry and Iris in the first season felt like a very VERY sibling relationship from both sides except for Barry was excplicitly stating his love
