I did this as a Christmas gift to Christopher Scott, the author of Eddie the Yeti! For those out of the loop, he’s the one that scouted me out and hired me to illustrate his book series. He's been very kind to me this year, so I wanted to do something for him! :D

Pre-production art of Kimber for the second Eddie the Yeti book I recently finished!

1. Various fur pattern designs (some are pretty wild, and are weird to look at now that I've finished the book). Originally we were going to go with a strong red color for her, similar to Jenna from Balto, but...

2. We decided instead to give her a grey main color because the red fur was making her look too much like a fox. This was pretty close to the final design, but the lighter fur around her eyes didn't make it into the book (probably for the best in hindsight - her eyes stand out better without it).

3. I thought Kimber was going to be wearing a different jersey since she's supposed to be from Canada, but turns out she's actually being recruited to the Timberwolves team. None of these jersey designs made it into the book as a result, but they might be used at some point in the future! It was kind of fun to come up with fictional hockey jersey designs for my country. :3

I'm not sure when the second book will be out, but I think it'll be November or December? I'll keep everyone posted. xp

This is the ninth and final model sheet for Eddie the Yeti! This guy was originally going to be on the rival team, but he was moved to be on Eddie's team instead because of how friendly and innocent he looked. Unfortunately he only appears on one page (or two if you count his snoot poking out at one point) due to him not really having a place in the story. To make sure he wasn't completely excluded, we added him on the bench with a broken arm, attending the game to give his team moral support. :3

(Kind of makes sense for a wolf to be on the Timberwolves team, huh?)

This guy is the goalie for the rival Mustangs hockey team in Eddie the Yeti! He only appeared twice in the book (three times if you count his glove in one of the early pages). For some reason he looks much better to me in his model sheet than he ended up looking in the book. I think it's a mix of his predominately white fur and white jersey not really standing out from the white ice, because everything looks fine with just his ink lines. ^^;

This guy was also the second character I designed from scratch. He's called Viper because of the fang-shape below his eyes! His name came first, but I added the fang to go with it. :3

It's been a little while since I've shared one of these! This is Steel, the wolf on the rival Mustangs hockey team in Eddie the Yeti: Hard Work Wins the Game! To help him feel more "villainous" I gave him glassy eyes along with scars and sharp facial features. In the end, he wasn't that bad of a guy - just an opponent like any other. :3

This guy was completely new (he wasn't based on a design the author outlined before I started), and was probably the most fun for me to create!

This was the original model sheet for Razor in Eddie the Yeti, the defenseman for the rival Mustangs hockey team! The sleeves of the hockey jersey being torn off to make him edgier was my idea, haha.

I also imagined him being a bit of a himbo. >_>

This is one of the "antagonists" of Eddie the Yeti, who plays for the rival Mustangs hockey team. He serves as one of the forwards, alongside Steel who you'll see soon enough. :3

Surprisingly, this was the first time I ever drew a pig!
