when you get this, you have to post 5 songs you actually listen to, then send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers 🌃
aww thank you edge--effects (formerly edge-effects)!
i dont know if these count as "songs", but these are my musical obsessions (bearing in mind i have conservatoire brainrot)
Tchaikovsky's Symphony no.6 (soooo gorgeous)
"The Bells" by Rachmaninoff (again, soooo so gorgeous and i was actually in a choir for its performance once and it was soo soo beautiful)
Claude Vivier's "Bouchara" (such a powerful piece, i love it so much, a song written in a madeup language of love)
I am also a great admirer of Liszt because that man saw lightyears ahead of where music was going. for example Les jeux d'eaux à la Villa d'Este is THE precursor of the Debussy musical and pianistic tradition, if that makes sense. although if you were to ask me my personal favorite piece by him, i would have to say in all honestly that its proabably his musicalization of Petrarch's Sonnet no. 104
Sclesi's Piano Sonata no.3. MY GOD ITS SOOO POWERFUL!! AND GORGEOUS!!! I LOOOOVE THE HARMONIC LANGUAGE AND THE "ELUSIVE" (if you will) RHYTHMIC SENSATION !! soooo juicy
