Today my father in law burned old woods and dead tree at his garden. Then I found this steel. I asked him and he said this was for door hinge. Also he said it was before SWW. This steel and a steel now a day are different components. I got this to brush and remake something but the shape and think about this historical metal, I will keep this as stable. I tried to fall to the asphalt ground but nothing damaged. Very old master forged this, so I wonder I would talk about this history to my children. Also my mother in law told me this was made in Edo era! I decided to keep this! 今日はお義父さんが枯木や枯葉などを庭で燃やして野焼きしてました。そんな時にこの鉄を見つけました。どうやらドアのヒンジ部分らしく、その当時職人さんがトンカントンカンして一つ一つの手作り部品らしいです。最初は磨いて削ってナイフにでもしようかと思いましたが、ふとお義父さんが「多分戦前の物だぞ」と言う一言で、加工するのはやめました。 お義母さんに話したら多分江戸時代の鉄じゃ無い？と言うのでますます加工しないことを心に決めて、いつか子供達に伝承しようと決意しました。今の鉄と昔の鉄は成分が違うらしく、しかも鍛造されたこのヒンジはアスファルトの地面に落としても何も傷一つ付くこともありませんでした。江戸時代にこのクオリティ、流石としか言いようもなく、そしてこの造形美。わかるかなー。 #edo #edoera #sww #bonfire #forging #江戸 #江戸時代 #第二次世界大戦 #戦後 #焚火 #鍛造 https://www.instagram.com/p/CmLhhV0LyG2/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
