It’s okay.

Three days before Spring Break.

The kids are tired. I’m tired.

We can see the finish line, but right now it feels so far away that seeing it only makes things worse.

It’s okay right now.

It’s okay that I need a glass of wine or five with dinner tonight. It’s okay that my awesome lab for today got bumped to tomorrow because I didn’t have the energy. They can do a reading assignment instead.

It’s okay that I wasn’t perfect every minute of today.

And it’s okay that my students weren’t perfect either.
