I am going in to setup my room tomorrow. I am excited for another year, but nervous for another year of pandemic teaching. Luckily my district is requiring masks and I am hoping we will be as cautious as last year again!

Bring science to the world one post at a time.
Hello everyone! I have made some masks for science enthusiasts, mostly because I don’t have any for myself. But also because I am a teacher. This year I was finally able to accept my desired position, teaching high school science. However, to do this I had to take a drastic pay cut. I also had to move to an area where rent is higher. Basically, I know I’m going to be hurting financially and this is one of the ways I can start making up the difference.
Please take a look! Make a request if you want something different. I’d be glad to work with you.

Summer, You Wonderful, Gorgeous Thing!!!
Summer: A Poem by a Very Tired Teacher
Summer you are here, and I have missed you.
Let me nap.
Let me read a book written for someone over 8 years old.
Let me use the bathroom at any given moment.
Let me not answer sixty billion questions before 8AM.
Let me not contemplate homicides at the sight of an ill-timed email.
Let me sit in the sunshine without hearing tattles.
Let me bask in being a human being again.
Summer. I love you.
My boyfriend and I bought this outdoor table over the weekend basically, I’m never going to leave this spot. It’s so perfect and calm with our cute terrariums that we built yesterday!
Teacher Work Week started today and I’m still scared out of my mind about teaching my first year, but I’m getting a little more comfortable as the days go by. Today I’m working on converting my unit plans into daily plans for each class through the month of September.
Louis Sachar's Wayside School books were amazing to read as a child.
Now that I'm a teacher, they're even better.
I found two adorable fleece cacti pattern remnants to make into floor cushions to fulfill my flexible seating hopes and dreams. Next, I got some nice dark green fabric for one of my class bulletin boards. And then I found this adorable llama print that Is definitely my first classroom splurge purchase. But, I absolutely love the print so I'm not feeling a ton of guilt ;) The original plan for the llamas as for my second bulletin board but now I'm thinking maybe an apron to wear in the class? We'll see 🙂
